Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been discussed before and its way in the past so kind of a moot point. But does anyone know why the hell we played a back to back in the playoffs? We were the older team so I thought it was a huge disadvantage for us playing the young thunder. I remember being super heated about this lol Thanks!

Probably because it was a lockout shortened season. I remember we had a back to back to back that season.

The schedule was compacted that year because of the strike and the season not starting until December. Every team that made it as far as the second round had at least one back-to-back game in the playoffs.

I think Los Angeles had Lakers, Clippers and Kings all in the playoffs as well.

playoffs and Finals use to be every other night, and sometimes there was 2 days off when changing cities.....I think it is stupid how much they stretch out the Finals now....2 days off between every game, even in the same city.

Yup, that was one crazy weekend where the Lakers, Kings, Clippers, Dodgers, and some bike race were all happening between Dodger Stadium and Staples Center on Friday-Sunday. Sat and Sun had doubleheaders at Staples Ctr.
