If the three main contenders for Kawhi get gun-shy, I can see Toronto swooping in to get him. They can offer some combination of young talent, picks and salary. They won't even have to give up Demar and Lowry

Current odds on Kawhi's 2018 team:

+200: @Raptors, @spurs
+500: @Lakers, The Field
+600: @LAClippers
+800: @celtics, @sixers
+1000: @Bucks
+1500: @nyknicks
+2000: @cavs, @HoustonRockets
+2500: @BrooklynNets

What they know about the raptors? Interesting.

Here is another:

Quote:
Updated odds on which team Kawhi Leonard will play for next season (@betmybookie):

Raptors EVEN
Spurs +400
Lakers +500
Clippers +600
76ers +800
Celtics +800
Bucks +1000
Knicks +1500
Cavaliers +2000
Rockets +2000
Nets +2500
Field +500

Toronto probably goes all in since the Raptor killer is no longer in the east.

There is no way the Raptors can get Kawhi without giving up at least one of Demar or Lowry along with other pieces.

If we arn't giving up Kuz or BI, Philly no Fultz, Boston no Top 5 players, theres not much the Spurs can do.

SOURCES: The Toronto Raptors are nearing a trade with San Antonio, for Kawhi Leonard.
The trade as of now includes DeMar Derozan, Jakob Poeltl and OG Anunoby. Spurs are including Kawhi and a 2020 first round draft pick.

Anyone know this guy and how reliable he is ?

Source: No progress right now, Spurs are taking it slow and Toronto is looking at a third team to involve to match salaries.

Toronto (i.e. the city) could almost not be more different from LA from what I know, though, so I REALLY doubt he would re-sign there and therefore I doubt that a deal gets done between the two teams.

I thought the Spurs were trying to accumulate draft picks, but they are willing to give one up for an overrated Derozan? That could be a high draft pick too if the Spurs suck like I assume they will by the time the 2020 draft rolls around

Assuming we don’t ever put BI on the table, DeMar may be the best player the spurs will get from just about any time though

Yeah, this is one place I hope he gets traded too. But I still wouldn't underestimate them keeping him if they can get another all-star

Hope it gets done. Toronto is one place I know he won't stay with

I hope he does get traded so we can move on already. Earlier on I was all on board for Ingram to be the only main piece, but I've changed my mind. We dont need to do a damn thing. Lebron is under contract. Some might say we are wasting Lebron's first year, but I'm looking at this as the business investment for the Lakers brand.

Weve got Lebron. We are relevant. Lebron is using LA for his own reasons, and we can use him for ours. We wait for next year and we still have the "we have lebron" card to lure other FAs.

Spurs can kiss our asses.

Kawhi will become best friends with Lowry. Toronto then runs a bunch of parties for him. He stays. Book it!

I’m predicting that Toronto, Boston or Philly doesn’t trade for Kawhi and a unknown team comes out of the wood to close a KL deal.

Lll. Lowry has 2 years left on a bad contract. They probably let him walk when done.

Please Toronto, trade for Kawhi! That will insure that he will be a Laker next summer.

I think The Bucks are also a dark horse in all of this. Middleton + Brogdon (Last year's offer for Kyrie) for Kawhi?

That would be an impressive move.
