And yes, the Kawhi trade will include DeMar Derozan. The additional pieces with DeMar are changing daily it seems. My source said it was OG + Jakob. Now it’s being speculated by Zach Lowe as Pascal being second piece. Which is HUUGE for San Antonio’s big / versatility situation.

Do it Toronto.
Then trade him to the Lakers at the trade deadline.

Who would we give up? Deng and a pick or two?

If kawhi plays like an all star, I think Lakers give up more.

Man, Kawhi to the Raptors is probably a smokescreen.

The Raptors are probably looking to trade Derozan, CJ Miles and Jonas Valanciunas to the Heat for Hassan Whiteside and Tyler Johnson or something like that.

That would be awful for Toronto

For 3 months of Kawhi?

I can see that happening

The real prize for the Raptors will be getting out of Derozan's humongous contract extension. If the Raptors can convince Kawhi to stay that will just be gravy. If they know he's bolting after the season, they'll try and flip him to us and get some draft picks and young players to jump start their rebuild.

Lowry only has one more season on his contract after this one.

Woj has been saying for a while that it’s “Lakers only”.

Hopefully that’s what the deal is. Good news is- Lebron can talk to Leonard every day and plan the whole thing out with no tampering issues.

I said a few months ago that I bet Rob was talking to Uncle Dennis every day. I’d be surprised if he isn’t talking to him even more now. Lakers know exactly what the deal is with KL.

I could see Toronto making the trade to dump DeRozan contract and then trading Kawhi before the deadline to the Lakers or Clippers.

Toronto has nothing to lose. You dump DeRozan's shook self and not have to worry about resigning him while also getting Kawhi. Even if Kawhi leaves, it's still a win. They can start the rebuilding process early with this move but Masai is an overrated GM and LeBron leaving is another reason why they won't blow the team up.

Isn't it insane that you would have to think about it? We're talking a useless, worthless 18 mill player vs an All-Star... But he's gonna be making a ridiculous 40 mill soon.

Dude really? Anyone says no should have head examined and drug tested

Wouldnt happen without Lonzo + another significant asset.

Even then I'd have to consider it

Let's just say I'd rather stretch Deng, take his cap hit for 3 years and sign Kawhi than trade for Wall. I think you can trade for Wall since his current salary is around Deng's.

Wall gonna make 47 mill in 2022

I don't think the wiz want to rebuild if KL leaves.
Toronto seems like they'll be ok with rebounding if that happens

I can't see KL wanting to stay and re-up in Toronto, even if Drake cooks his meals and does his dishes for him everyday.

[Jorge Sedano] . [ at ] MagicJohnson tells our @MarkJonesESPN & @1MrBigShot right now on @espn that he believes LeBron will have biggest impact on Ingram. Jokes that he wants them to practically be roommates. Show him the way, etc. #NBASummerLeague

no Ingram in a Kawhi trade

Is he a super-max worthy? Yeah, I know. Rhetorical question, perhaps
