Every year the Spurs are underestimated. They were 3 losses below 50 wins and the 3 seed last season without Kawhi. Now they add DeRozan. Pop will get the most out of him.

I am not saying they have any chance of a championship with this core, but I think they will be a playoff team. I would probably tank if I was them, but I guess pop doesn't want to for his final years.

The Spurs were the 7 seed, and they beat out Denver by 1 game to make the playoffs along with Minny.

And now they added a 30 ppg scorer.

Most of us can care less we got a group of young dudes wanting to prove their Heart.

We could also come to terms that KL may never be the player he was due to the injury

Yeah I don't give a (bleep) whether he stays in TOR or comes here. We'll be fine either way. Though I love watching players that shunned us get screwed left and right. Dwight, Monroe, Whiteside, DD, soon PG.

The dude torpedoed his trade value, and was going to walk for nothing. How is this horrible for the Spurs? Even if someone gave them a bag of chips for KL, that would be better than nothing, especially if it's jalapeno ranch flavor.

It's better to tank than to be what they'll be the next couple of years. Basketball purgatory is mediocrity.

I do agree. I would have looked for expirings and draft picks.

They should have did something a month before the draft, but they thought they could fix the relationship

So, now they won’t get beat as bad when they are eliminated in the first round.

I agree we'll be fine. If he comes to LA, however, we'll be fantastic.

Does Toronto trade KL if they’re top 3 team and he’s given no indication he’d resign.

I wouldn't. They'll get horrible offers so why not try to make the Finals, if you get extremely lucky maybe a ring, and try to convince Kawhi to stay at all costs. That's what I would do if the best offer on the table is Deng, Mo, and a pick.

Sorry. 27.3 in 16-17. Was that 2.7 ppg really worth that post?

Well he's a 23.0 ppg scorer right now so yeah... 7 pts is quite a bit.

Yes, that’s a significant difference. Might as well say Kuzma was a 20ppg scorer last season if you’re gonna round up that much.

Ya I see it the same way. I would love for us to get back to beating the Spurs in the playoffs like we’ve always done. Whether it was with Kobe and Shaq, Gasol and Odom or even DFish...now we get to beat them with LeBron. Just when Demar thought he had rid himself of LBJ. Bring it on! I welcome the beat down with open arms!

yup, before and after that 27.0 ppg season he was at 23 ppg.

it seems DD's playoff scoring averages is only about 22.5 ppg also.

kind of surprising actually, considering scoring is suppose to be his one elite skill

I knew he was close so I rounded up. If we're at a place where 2.7 points is being argued and not the fact that they added an All-NBA 2nd team player then I sincerely apologize.

He has Aldridge ... and Pop.
Outside of Lebron we have ... I dunno.
Luke doesn't have a chance outcoaching Pop. We'll have to beat them based on talent.
I could see playoff Rondo being our 2nd best player. He can be a coach on the floor.
But I hope at least one of our young guys takes a leap, and I hope they do it in the postseason.

Yeah I considered that as well. I also figured they would be fighting for seeding more than his team was last season so it may pad his stats a bit more but, as you said, who knows? Either way I don't see them being a better team than the Lakers.

Have some faith fellow Laker brethren.

We have much more than your perceived “I dunno”.

We also have cap flexibility next summer to be much better.

Not only is our current situation great, but our future looks ever so bright.

Got to have some faith!
