exactly
I guarantee if the opportunity was there, the league owners would not have voted in such a cap space spike at the height of the Kobe-Shaq Lakers. |
Please explain because I don't think that it is something that the owners have complete control of which is what you are suggesting. |

The jump was dictated by the league revenue calculation. The PA would need to agree to take a pay cut for a few years to smooth the salary increase. |

No, the cap would have risen slowly, but the amount paid out would still be according to the split. So the owners would just be writing large checks that the players would be divvying up. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. The salary cap is dictated by the CBA. To deviate from that would require both sides to formally agree on the change. |

Would that have been similar to a team not reaching the salary floor? _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Somewhat. But it would have been exactly like what’s happened the last few years where the total salaries have not equalled the players share, so the owners have to cut a check for the difference. It just would have been a bigger check. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. That's how I understood their proposal. Essentially it was leveraging an existing process with a much larger amount of money. I'm not sure about the mechanics of how the PA distributes those funds, but one assumes the rank and file would have benefited a great deal. With the alternative being exorbitant deals for players who just happened to be free agents, it's a wonder the players (read their agents) didn't press for the smoothing proposal. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Didn't Klay's dad just say he's a Warrior for life? Would be nice if we could snag him, from all the rumors and rumblings it seems pretty unlikely. |

I think his dad is just repeating what he senses or what he heard from Klay, a lot can change from a year from now, we saw how PG fooled the Lakers, it’s not out of realm of possibility that Klay can change his mind and become discontent. |

Sorry, I should've been more specific. Why is he saying that Kawhi is no longer an option? _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

Finally! Leonard seen on a court.
Just saw the story about him, James, Durant and others working out at UCLA today. Not much info, just a post practice picture.
I would be curious to see how he looked. |

Lebron already recruiting Khawi. I seriously doubt it was a coincidence all those guys ended up at UCLA to hoop. |

I don't know about that. UCLA is the center of the pickup game universe in the summertime. |

the Clippers could potentially being a factor in the Klay sweepstakes. |

Klay would leave a dynastic juggernaut like the Warriors to join the Clippers? Come on, bro. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."
