He most likely won't leave. Probably a 1 + 1 type deal to try to run it back.
But if he left who can say anything. He got the country a championship. |

I don't know about that. I mean, mission accomplished, right? He gets to reap the rewards of what he just accomplished. That doesn't mean he has to stay. He'll be a hero in Toronto forever regardless. |

He said a few days ago that he wasn't playing for the fans.
He will go where he intended to go. |

Toronto winning doesn’t help the Lakers. Now 28 other teams will look long and hard at AD for a 1-year rental for a chance at a ring. _________________ |

Kawhi is not exactly the kind of guy that would have something like this affect his decision.
He knows what he wants. He didnt choose Toronto. Whether it's Lakers or Clippers, I think he leaves the Raptors.
If anything, this makes him more ready to leave. Fans will worship him anyway due to him bringing that franchise a title for the first time in their history, and can make history joining his home city by being 3rd time FMVP with 3 different teams. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Honestly, would have looked bad if he lost AND left. Now he can say I brought the city a championship and leave on good terms. That's just me wishful thinking though.

His injuries are too scary to do a 1+1 |

Lol did you even hear his interview? He just refused to commit to Raptors, and said he will have to think over it.
This is literally the best outcome for us given the circumstances.
And what's up with Paskal sounding like a 100% American. He's so eloquent. Love this kid. |

LOL LOL in kawhi
“Kawhi was a great player, but he wasn’t a leader or anything,” Popovich told reporters in Milwaukee on Saturday, when asked about Patty Mills’ leadership in the absence of departed Spurs stars Leonard, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. “Manu and Patty were the leaders. Kawhi’s talent will always be missed, but that leadership wasn’t his deal at that time. That may come as he progresses, but Manu and Patty filled that role last year, and LaMarcus [Aldridge] came a long way in that regard also.” |

That's as good as it gets for suitors. At least that means he will consider leaving. |

I'm hoping Kawhi has noted how hard they have had to work to beat the Dubs even without KD, Klay, a below-par Cousins, and ageing Iggy and Livingston. KD may not even leave GSW and should be back for the playoffs next season. Kawhi needs another star next to him next season, and I can't see Toronto repeating this or getting a star TBH. So I really feel he should not risk going into next year with this squad.
Come home to the Lakers, Kawhi!!

I think Kawhi's already made up his mind. His impending FA didn't affect his playoff performance. He strikes me as someone with conviction. Hopefully he doesn't go to the Clippers. He should stay in Toronto. If he comes here, then we should only be so lucky. |
