And that's a legitimate reason, though I would argue if you're part of a Lebron/AD/Kawhi Big 3, that is arguably the greatest Big 3 ever and that is more marketing than being the main man on the Clippers ever will be. |
CP3 was the man on the Clippers, but not when he was getting booed at Dodger Stadium. Paul Gasol wouldn’t get booed like that in LA. |

Is this like the house he bought in Toronto also |
Since this site has been in existence, the two most common fake rumors during the summer are usually the buy a house and the enrolled his kids/checking out schools. |

i want kawhi even if i think that he is not the greatest fit with LBJ and AD.But
when lbj retires, we ll have Kawhi and AD to build. This means we are
contenders for at least 5 years and we minimize the cost of AD trade. |

Even if the Clippers are doing well now, just the word "Clippers" in the LA/IE/Riverside area connotes all the words synonymous with second rate or losing franchise (even though this is not actually the case right now). |
Yup, specially if you are a basketball player. In the end, Clippers > Spurs |

My sense is the clippers thing is dead if it ever existed. I don't take Leonard as a dumb man and with AD and LBJ across the hall, Im guessing he's considered the fact that he'll be carrying a huge load on the clippers. I'm guessing he's be carrying it alone. Who else would come?
KD
Kyrie
Those guys arent coming. |

Agree it would be foolish of him to leave, but what if they spread that money around like we're talking about doing with our own money: Lopez, Green, Collison, Morris, etc? |

Not surprised Kawhi looks like he's leaving the Raptors....other than helping them repeat, what incentive is there to stay there? The ridiculous 53.5% tax rate? The cold winters? |

Much will depend on whether Kawhi is as stupid and weak-minded as Paul George.
Think about it. If PG13 wasn’t so stunted, he would be big 3 with Lebron and AD looking at being the face of the franchise after LBJ retires and winning chips.
Instead he is in motherf’ing OKC with Westbrook. His career basically over. No rings, no legacy, no endorsements, nothing. He had an MVP caliber season and literally no one cares.
Smh. So so so sad. I mean I’d rather have Kawhi of course but PG13 balled out like a beast this season. If his head was screwed on right and he had come he would have gotten the job done with AD too.
So so sad. |

Kawhi staying in Toronto cannot even COME CLOSE to being compared to the Paul George situation. He just won a ring in Toronto as the guy with a whole country behind you. I think it would be dumber to leave. |

I don't think PG13 was in the plan after LBJ decided to join the Lakers. Why would any GM paid KCP 30M for 2 years of service. The return is LBJ and AD. It will be interesting to see who is the 3rd Max. LBJ planned all this before he signed up. It will be foolish to believe he is here to play with our young core. |

The best move for KL when it comes to the chance at the most rings and the biggest endorsements is to come to the Lakers. If it's more about factors other than that, then he'll turn us down. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I think KL would not have been seriously thinking about joining the Lakers until AD arrived. If it's you and Lebron and things don't work then you get blamed because Lebron is seemingly beyond criticism. Now AD is here as a buffer.
If it's not KL then JB is a strong possibility and KL has to know that he's not going to beat Lebron, AD and JB if he joins the Clippers. But maybe he sees that as a new challenge. |
