This gets crazy.

2-way players
Doncic - Triple threat O, Neutral to + defense, team D.
JJJ - High level both ends of the floor, issues are TO rate and foul rate.
Wendell Carter Jr - Current Horford on offense, signs of perimeter footwork on Iso/switches
Mikal Bridges
Miles Bridges
Jontay Porter - Triple threat, Team D, "Empty perimeter" for now
Zhaire Smith - Dual threat pass/shoot, super switch D 4-2
Troy Brown - Triple threat, high motor on D, 3-1
Chandler Hutchison - Triple threat, solid perimeter D (analytics driven)
De'Anthony Melton - Dual threat (for now), elite perimeter D, possible 4-1
Kevin Huerter - Triple threat, 3-2
Jacob Evans - Dual threat, possible 5 position defender (reference PJ Tucker at 5)
Aaron Holiday - Triple threat, 1 position ballhawk
Khyri Thomas - 3 and D, 2 position defender, 3-2
Josh Okogie - Dual threat (pass, shoot), possible 4-1 switch defender
Melvin Frazier - Dual threat (shoot, pass), 3-2 switch D
Gary Clark - Low level dual threat, possible 4-2 switch D
Kenrich Williams - Triple threat, 4-3
Jevon Carter - Triple threat, 1 position
Mitchell Robinson - PnR Dive, Swat, "empty perimeter"
Devon Hall - Shooter, 2-1 switch
Rawle Alkins - Slasher, 2-1 switch
Devonte Graham - Triple threat, 1 ballhawk
Vincent Edwards - Dual threat (Shooter, slash), 3-2 switch

1 way offense
DeAndre Ayton - post, midrange, 3pt in order; Swat, empty perimeter
Trae Young - Triple threat
Bagley - Off-ball
Michael Porter Jr. - Shoot/Slash
Collin Sexton - Triple threat
Kevin Knox - Dual threat
Okobo - Triple threat
Brunson - Triple threat
Shake Milton - Dual threat
Divincenzo - Dual threat
Lonnie Walker - ?
Anfernee Simons - ?
Robert Williams - Dive man, mid, swat power, empty perimeter
Landry Shamet - Triple threat
SGA - Triple threat
Shamorie Ponds - Triple threat
Keita Bates Diop - Dual threat (I don't think D transfers to NBA)
Ajdin Penova - Dual threat
Grayson Allen - Dual threat
Djanan Musa - Dual threat
Malik Newman - Dual threat
Trevon Duval - Single threat
Gary Trent Jr - Single threat
Moritz Wagner - Dual threat
Tony Carr - Dual threat
Travon Bluett - Single threat

1-way defense
Mo Bamba - PnR dive, not high level passer, expanding range; perimeter D with length/stride
Bruno Fernando - PnR dive, not high level passer; perimeter D with feet, motor
Bruce Brown - Slasher, 3-1 defender with motor and feet

Hamadou Diallo - No clue.

Placing the players in these respective categories shows how much priority is given to scorers and the ease of which a player scores. Ayton can get shots he wants. Bagley amasses points off-ball. Trae shoots and passes everywhere. Ayton has perimeter defensive holes. Bagley has rim protection and perimeter defensive holes. Trae is not expected to be a net neutral defender.

On the flip side of things, the 1-way defenders are likely to be 4th or 5th options on offense until there's major skill growth. All 3 guys have shown some abilities offensively, but Bamba isn't a definitive post player, passer, or consistent shooter in the way Ayton is. Fernando is a PnR dive man, and his best offense is the dunker-role in the halfcourt. Bruce Brown showed signs of perimeter shooting 2 seasons ago, but is now a slasher. I do think highly of Bruce Brown because of his football background, which is a reflection of spacial IQ and motor.

Curious why you left off Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk. Lakers need outside shooting.

Severely negative wingspan by height. May not get drafted?

I am curious about your take of Mo. He's a Michigan kid, and since I work for UM, of course I am curious. Is he a bench player, maybe 7th or 8th man off the bench? Who does he potentially equate to, a Nick Collison type? NBA Christian Laettner? Chris Mihm with an outside shot?

It's difficult for me to say. Right now, the one thing I do trust is the shooting first, the passing second, but I don't necessarily see him as a playmaker.

Shooting at the 5 spot goes far. If he can rebound, he'll get minutes. I know he was exhausted in the Finals game and got outpowered in the paint in the game prior, so I do have concerns about post defense.

Collison was an energy guy first, shooter 2nd.
Laettner out of Duke was All-World. He'd be perfect in today's game offensively.
Mihm, was a better defensive player and athlete, but had injury issues.

Tough version of Olynyk?

I'd question the rating of Aaron Holiday as a triple threat in terms of his coming into the NBA. Was a questionable driver (as a finisher) at UCLA. Easy to read his tendency and was more questionable as a direction-changer or dish-off guy to others. Tended to go full-speed head-down in college. Didn't elevate to finish at the rack well either. Very much better and more proven as a mid-range pull-up guy and three point ace.

I think Holiday's finishing FG% is drastically skewed by the low number of those shots being assisted, just like Devonte Graham.

Still 58% at the rim in contrast to ~44% at the rim for Graham.
