#1 seed with Lowry and DeRozan as your best players. What did they expect? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
They did underachieve in the playoffs but DeRozan is the bigger problem with that team.
The way he plays, in today's NBA if you're not a Kobe/top 5 scorer level guy, you can't play that sort of game IMO.
What do you mean?
The sort of game DeRozan plays, I don't think it's so valuable as it would have been 10, 15, 20 years ago.
Not sure how you can blame one player in particular. How many chippies did JV miss? Or Ibaka's complete disappearance? etc. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Not surprised...didn't he bench Derozan? We know this is a players league and the coaches don't have much power. He won't have a problem getting hired.
let's be real, casey is a mark jackson caliber coach. rigid and slow to react to in game situations. watching him leave cj miles in there against kevin love and leave siakam to get abused by lebron for 5 possessions in a row, and then deciding to go back to it game after game was like watching the warriors clippers series back in the day when mark jackson kept insisting on playing jermaine o'neal. same EXACT inability to respond to the in game circumstances.
dude deserves to be fired because that should ahve been a 6 game series at least. he cost the raptors 4-6 points per game with his terrible personnel decisions. _________________ substance over style

Casey didn't choke his team did. Raptors were blinded by bright lights and run over by the LeBron locomotive. Next season will reveal what a mistake firing Casey was. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
Raptors basically hit their ceiling with the talent on their team compared to other top teams. If anything fire the GM for going all-in on a roster that could get you to the playoffs but not have a prayer at winning a championship. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi
Lebron is getting his points....doesn't matter who he plays....the problem is the Raptors just like him score at will without any effort to slow him down. Look at how the Spurs and Warriors played him in the past....they make him earn those 2 or 3 points. They neutralize his offensive power with their overall collection of shooters.
TBH, I've never kept up with the Raps, but I just can't believe that the man was fired after winning COY. Perhaps as people have already said, he doesn't react as quick as he should in game circumstances, and it is true that the Raps kept running into LeBron Raymone James, but if he was worthy of being fired, how is it that he won the award in the first place? _________________ Defense is my business, and business is good!

This shows that either handing out those kind of awards is bs or that coaches are fired way too quickly. Actually, I think it's both.
Its a regular season award and teams firing winning coaches isn't exactly new.
This also is not the real league coach of the year award this is the coaching association coach of the year award which apparently Brad Stevens didn’t even get a nomination for so…

DeRozan was benched the entire 4th quarter in game 3, and ejected in game 4.
He's the leader of the team and the best player and played the worst compared to his standards. He gets the brunt of the blame IMO
When a team gets steamrolled 4-0 in such fashion, it's never 1 player.
Key word being "brunt" of the blame, and it's squarely on his shoulders IMO.
What could he have done to beat the Cavs though? It was a systemic failure. LBJ did what he did. But to have all the other role players have a great series, that's on him too? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
