At the exit interviews, it was pretty clear that Magic and Pelinka wanted the players working out all summer. It also seemed that they wanted them to be doing it at the Lakers Training Center. I am wondering which players are following up on the request. If they are not, where are they? Do we know what their plans are and who their trainers are?

Why are the players working out at the Laker's Training Center, when they should be in the gym?

Doesn't the training center have a gym?

I guess what I am trying to find out is which of the young players are already getting ready for September and if they training with somebody who is that person.

Kuz was just interviewed and said he has been training at the facility for last three weeks. He said he sees Lonzo in there. BI is training in Chicago I believe. I think Hart is training at the facility too.

Yeah, seems like Kuzma is doing two-a-days at the facility. Zo is lifting there. I assume Hart is there as well being a rookie. Kuz said BI is off the grid but I know he's on a workout tour. Randle was in Chicago, but I assume he'll be in LA a lot since Cesar Amoila is based out here.

Kuzma has been training for about 3 weeks. Lonzo has been in and out too, but hasn't been doing much shooting if any, mostly weight lifting.

I'm just messing with you haha it's an old LG joke.

Sometimes posters here think the players are only allowed to work out or sleep and do nothing else lol. Or they judge their work ethic based on social media posts.

Long story short it'll all be clear next season who had been working on their games and who hadn't

Thank you for the clarification. I have been around long enough that I should recognize old LG jokes. Sorry for missing it.

I am hoping that one of Zubac and T. Bryant make substantial improvement next year--the Lakers really do need a good young center. Neither of their names were mentioned. Oh well.

No prob man. They very well could be.

I saw official pics from the Lakers' Twitter account of Zubac getting shots up in the facility, and there's video of T. Bryant in a scrimmage (sort of like a pro-am).

So I'm sure the guys are working, but to what extent is kind of hard to piece together accurately. Best way we know is who shows up with more skills next season

I start a thread on LG and within several hours ESPN has written an article with the answer: link

The power of LG.

BI off the grid. Can’t wait to see how he looks when he comes back.

Kuzma looks like he’s gotten a lot stronger already

Why is Lonzo only lifting weights, when he should also be working on his shooting, floater and developing a post game?

I also like Ingram’s approach of going dark and getting to work.

While I don’t think Kuzma will be our best player. I do believe he is our Draymond. Vocal. Great with the media. And a lot of times will be our most important player on the team. Really like how Kuz interacts with the media.

The recent trend of fans obsessing over who is working out in the off-season and who isn't (with teams and players happy to oblige with Instagram posts) is one I wouldn't mind seeing go away.

One of the things I love about him is he doesn't seem to be as social media obsessed as most of his peers. Now, if only these damn millennials would get off my lawn!!

Hart was working on ball-handling drills with Miles Simon today, and I'm sure that the fact that media happened to be there at the same time was an accident.

I love the amount of work JR is putting in every offseason. I don't know if it's because he wants a big contract or it's because he's really passionate about getting better or both. If only there's a way for him to improve his basketball IQ...
