Leading 2-1 even with around 30 something percentage of possession.
Dominate for another 2 goals when they are up.
Gonna be a long 25 minutes for Croatia.

Thought it would be a 1-0 game, but seems like a lot of dumb mistakes being made all around.

What a great World Cup it was.

France was the most consistent good team all over the competition. Well deserved title. Croatia fought hard, but simply didn't have quality enough.

Can't wait until 2022!

Croatia might have had a chance if they didn't give away 2 goals....1 own goal plus a handball which led to a free kick goal. The game still would've favored France though, since even though they only got 1/3 of the possessions in the 1st half they made the most of their opportunities.

Yeah, one of the most memorable World Cups in recent years. Only people that are bitter are the Dutch (Seedorf & Hiddink) who feel France didn't play 'total football'. Dinosaurs the lot of them. Where'd 'total football' get them in this year's competition?!

France let Croatia dominate the ball and countered at opportune moments and more often than not they were clinical when it counted... except for Giroud (13 shots 0 on target)

That was a fun WC! Highest scoring WC I believe with 6 total goals. Croatia showed why they deserved to be there. If it wasn’t for those mistakes with the handball and the own goal in the first half, this match would have been very different. France showed why they were the best and favored to win it all. I loved seeing all those young players from various backgrounds dominate throughout the cup.

it’s going to a be long 4 years, but hope team USA represents in Qatar.

It was a surprising world cup. I'am very proud of this team. They were very disiplined and mentally strong.

It was the 2nd most goals on a WC Finals. The most was Brazil 5 - 2 Sweden back in '58.

Oh yeah, the Dutch are bitter. There's no such thing as "total football", only winning football. If it's winning, it's the right way.

Can't wait until 2022. A World Cup in november/december, with all the world class players in mid-season form and not tired after an entire year of playing. It's gonna be interesting.

France, England and Belgium have a nice core of young players going forward. They should be able to compete for the next 2 World Cups.

I did hear some of Hiddink's comments; he sounded like an ass.

Thankfully no German/Russia victory....the evil powers of past and present don't deserve any kind of celebration. Viva La Frogs I suppose lmao.

It was a world cup with a couple of surprises and at least a worthy finals match.
Nevertheless I think FIFA has to clean up a couple of things like flopping, dirty plays, simulating injuries to gain time or even making substitutions to gain time.

France was very impressive all throughout. Insanely powerful offense.

As a casual Real fan, I wish Benzema would've gotten the nod, but congrats nonetheless.

He'll never be in the national team again. Not after his comments
