If we could only get 2 stars what pairing would you prefer?
Lebron and PG
Lebron and Kawhi

Durant and either George or Kawhi. Or those two. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

It has to be Lebron and PG since we don't have to trade anybody to get them. |

Really tough choice between those three pairings. I think I'd go with Lebron and Kawhi though but it's very close.
I do agree with Omar that KD would be ideal (in my case I'd prefer KD and Kawhi over anything else). _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

Yeah. Those three guys all fit into our system well. LeBron is the system and I'm not sure we fit in as well around him. |

Exactly
Signing Kawhi for free is better than PG for free...
But would you trade Kawhi for PG/Ingram/Kuzma/#25/2020 1st? |

Would the Lakers? (I'd prefer to trade Zo but that's not happening)
C Brook (Room)
PF Bron (Cap)
SF Kawhi (Trade)
SG George (Cap)
PG Ball
6th Man Hart
7-14th minimum contract veterans... ugh
I'd rather take the depth, keep Randle, Ingram & Kuzma in lieu of Leonard, in my humble opinion. |

That makes a big difference. The one thing Leonard has going for himself is youth. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

LeBron and Kawhi with some solid role players/shooters gets you to the WCF, and possibly past GS due to the LeBron factor. Add PG with them and it definitely does. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

if comparing these players in vacuum (assuming you can sign any 2 without trades and identical salaries) I'd pick PG and Kawhi
Lebron is clearly at another level as a one man force but he 5+ years older than both. And Im not convinced Lebron has a favorable chance of beating the Warriors before his prime is over. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Before this year, I was totally against Lebron coming here.
But man, at this point, it really is a tough question for me. |

Lebron is great, but given his cost and age, it has to be Kawhi and PG13.
If the Lakers traded Ingram + Kuzma for Kawhi and then stretched Deng, we'd still have over $15m to use in free agency.
While Lebron wouldn't cost us Ingram + Kuzma, Kawhi would give us more cap room to use on Free agents. |

Lebron and PG because we don't have to give up any young assets for that and can sign them out right.
Lebron and Kawhi is the best pairing but it would require giving up 2 of our 3 best youngsters which weakens the team overall. |

Based on question I’m shocked it’s not LBJ and PG considering 2 or possibly 3 of the youngsters would be traded to get Kawhi |

More votes for Kawhi and PG than the other two combined...!

I would PREFER that Lonzo, BI and Randle become the superstars that the Lakers need.
Failing that, I'd prefer LeBron and PG because we would have to give up fewer assets to get them. I'm a big believer in team depth. |
