|

Chris Haynes on ESPN 710:
Quote: | Chris Haynes: "Any deal you're looking to make to try to bring in a big piece, Lonzo Ball is going to be in that. Lonzo Ball is going to be in that for sure. Obviously the Lakers are trying to rid themselves of Luol Deng's contract. Ingram could be in play, I've heard his name mentioned by some."
"But the one constant that I've been hearing is Lonzo Ball. Anyway, if LeBron were to come, there wouldn't be much of a need for Lonzo Ball. It's still early in the process still, but as the day goes on, we could start hearing more clearly what those pieces would look like."

It’s gonna suck to give up on Lonzo Ball, but getting rid of his dad will be a huge plus. |

Agreed, the statement of his 3 sons needing to play for the Lakers, likely got the Lakers pissed off, and are now trying to find a deal that sends Ball elsewhere. |

Thanks for the word for word.
He doesn't let us know if the Lakers wanna get rid of him, or if other teams want him.
Side: Shouldn't BI get a new thread entitled: "Some want to trade Ingram (via Chris Haynes)" as well?

I think the FT shooting, the inability to make a lay-up and immaturity are more likely reasons. |

I am sick of the Ball circus. Feel bad for Lonzo. He shouldn't have been a #2 pick, more like 6-8. Some of the other guys that came out are much better than he is.
and a 45% free throw shooting percentage. Yikes. That is horrible, and beyond horrible for a point guard. |

Music to my ears. Unfortunately I think his value is low right now. If we can move him with Deng it would be a grand slam. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

DLO sucked and Lonzo is nothing great at this point. Missed 1/3 of the season, shoots horrible and spends his offseason making rap videos instead of working on his crappy shooting form and 45% free throw shooting.
I will bet you, he is not in the gym like some of the other guys and Magic is watching.... |

At some point lonzo just has to shut his dad up, but everytime so far he has had the opportunity he does the opposite."pops going to be pops" Will not work in the nba for him much longer.
If he stays a laker or is somewhere else, he will have to man up to his dad. _________________ "WEARESUCK" |

Not surprising to me. The Lavar Ball circus is one thing but this week the whole Kuz and Zo thing whatever it was or wasn't, one thing it was for sure was un professional and immature. I feel ZO crossed a line with reference to Kuz's father in the same way DLO crossed that line with nick young. There are some things that you don't touch kidding or not, and crossing that is a massive character Flaw. Personally I have grown extremely sour that ZO has not ONCE publicly denied any of his fathers asinine statements. From Luke criticisms to Gunther criticisms, to his claims of taking ZO somewhere if the Lakers don't sign all 3.. All of it.. At first I thought no big deal but now his silence is more damaging IMO.. I will never deny his talent but, as I said early in another thread, you have to ask if the juice is worth the squeeze.. I just don't feel it is anymore. _________________ “What is 17,505”

It's Lavar's fault though. Calling Magic's bluff is idiotic. |

Sucks for the Lakers that Lonzo's dad tanked his value. Now they're stuck with a special player.

If this is true it's more of a combination of timing and his current play that killed his Laker career.
If we weren't actively taking part in the Lebron sweepstakes I don't think we'd be considering him in any trades. I could be wrong but I just think it's a matter of circumstances that have very little to do with him. |

Damn seems like they are already trying to D'Lo him out of town after one year. I guess it makes sense with all the rumors of the Lakers looking for another draft pick in the first round for this draft. Similar to the rumors last year when Chad Ford said that the Lakers trying to trade Russell for a lotto pick, which every Lakers fan thought that he was lying, but than he got shipped off. The Ball rumors starting to feel a bit similar to the Russell rumors last year. |

But a common one among the national media types. Hear it a lot. Really wonder if the Lakers feel the same internally. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
