Is mitch trying to get himself fired?

Essentailly, he trades Dwight's 24 mil for Mozgov's 16 mil this year, so between that and the cash and tax implications, he comes out about 15 mil or so ahead this year, gets rid of a guy they want nowhere near their team anymore (note to Brooklyn, do not leave him alone in a room with DLo), gets a guy who will be a good teammate and not hurt a tank, gets a couple picks, and only has to take on an additional year at 16.7 mil. Which, BTW, he might be able to flip next year for a similar deal, since they look to be rebuilding. Take the names Mitch and Mozgov out of it and it's a solid if unspectacular deal.

Great analysis. It was a good trade for Charlotte.
Reports that came out yesterday basically said that all Hornets' players HATED Dwight Howard.

Is there any player who actually likes him? Kobe hated him, Harden hated him. When the Lakers made their pitch to Dwight, all reports indicated that he had tuned Mitch out. I bet Mitch was thinking "karma's a b*tch, isn't it?"

Decent move. Helps the tank. They were 4 Mil from Lux tax before signing anyone. This gives them another 7 Mil in breathing room and some 2nd round picks while pushing the cost to next year when they will/may be below the cap.

Deng + 2 second rounders for Kemba. I’d even throw in a first. 3 picks total.
