If we strike out completely then didn't we waste our time with Magic and Rob? I mean the team that is currently constructed is from Mitch and Jim. Mitch and Jim are the ones that put us in position to draft Lonzo and Kuz and I am sure they would of drafted them as well since our scouting department are the ones that discovered Kuz.

I was hoping Magic had some cultural in-roads with James, particularly the business mogul thing, and that this decision would be a more "cultural" one. But yeah they've operated pretty much exactly the same so far, right down to the self-imposed deadline.

Clarkson trade for picks was great though.

If Jeanie is still involved in the meetings, we lost already.

Yes. I am hoping Wagner turns out to be better than Clarkson and Nance combined.

Yeah I think he will be, but that's a sad thing to be left rooting for after this summer.

if we strike out, take 2 heavy contracts and 2 first round picks but from teams like washington, memphis, denver, which could be relatively high picks. you dont need to tank, cause either way we ll be in the bottom 8 next year. These are 3 valuable picks, do the same next year. These are almost 10 young good players, whoever of us is still alive or still lakers fan will enjoy the bright future

You can spin it however makes you comfortable, but if they miss out on every target this off-season then it's a complete disaster.

You can be excited about the young core and realize how much of a disaster this would be. At some point, aren't you tired of waiting for the next year to do something? It's a superstar league and this team has zero of them.

It'd be sad if Cousins was the only one we sign or the last one to turn us down.

Yeah I've been tired of that. I just think this core is good.

Been saying this for weeks. It's only been 16 hours and people here are already whining and crushing the FO and googling the location of the nearest bridge. Time to stop pretending it's just another off season.

That being said, if we sign Lebron and no one else, we win the offseason.

If Philly's clearing cap space for LBJ... it's time we start going all in on the second tier guys.

Nothing too crazy but either tradeable two year deals or big fat 1 year deals...

Go for Boogie/IT/Redick/Tyreke/KCP/Brook/Dwight/Seth

Anything to approximate the pieces we had last year.

IF we have the core... the promising young draft picks... and some approximation of what Brook/IT/KCP brought last season... we will be better... we can be that 20-9 team from last winter.

If we just stand there with our d*cks in our hands... we will be back in tank mode next season.

Philly isn't clearing cap space for Lebron. They're just buying out a bad player and letting their mid-season FA shooters walk for more money.

Strike 1 then a home run. The FO put their money where their mouth is. One more signing and its been a successful off season.
