He looks more comfortable on his jumpers and at the free throw line than Lonzo.

Pippen had outstanding speed and quickness. Bonga isn't an outstanding athlete.

Odom with better shooting would be an awesome player at #39

Bonga loves to play defense and has the long arms and quickness to play it well. When he first got here he was a total mess and everyone said he couldn't shoot. Well he can shoot pretty darn well right now so he has really improved that aspect of this game.

Everytime I look at the stat sheet he has a couple blocks and a few steals which to me means he is playing some defense right now. Pippen is a dream for he was a great defender but certainly Bonga looks like a guy that can defend multiple positions especially when stronger.

I get the Lamar comparisons but there have been a few times that I have seen Bonga go for the monster dunk where he looked very explosive. He also seems to have really good quickness and his loping running style is deceiving and seems to cover a lot of distance in a short amount of time.

Down the road I see Bonga and SVI being some real 3pt deadeyes in next years rotation which is when we will need them.

Way too optimistic a projection throwing around guys like LO. Bonga was the worst player I've ever seen at the summer league just 2 months ago. The fact he is playing well in the G League means he's not a complete scrub but way to early to be talking Pippen or LO LOL

Odom with better shooting would be easily the best #39 pick ever.

s

That's exactly my point! I never saw an overseas kid, that improved so drastically in 2 months. He was good in small strides in preseason.
This Kid is so young and seems to be a hard worker. He's going to impress a lot of people, quote me if not.

oh and....Middleton at 39 and Parsons(not anymore) at 38 are good players too

How in the hell did Bonga improve his outside shooting so quick? I have never seen someone turn around their shooting this quick.

Look at his draft grades. He rarely shoots 3 in Europe and when he does shoots only 30 percent. If you look at his highlights from Europe, his shot motion looks stiff compared to right now. He must have changed something.

If Bonga does pan out in a few years he would be yet another feather in our recruiting staff's hat.

You know that famous Bill Russell picture with all those rings on his fingers?

That's going to be Bonga in 2035.

That's not easy In Germany they show only 1-2 games per week on tv. You can only follow a team if you go to games.

They are soccer guys over there.

Not always, I remember that center, I think his name was Thomas, we had drafted was shooting 3s at a high clip in the G league but couldn't make one in the NBA, and eventually got cut.

Anthony Brown also shot well in the D-League. Defenders in the NBA are faster and better. Also I have no way of proving this but I bet players with weak mental makeups just tend to feel the pressure and choke more in the NBA.

He's 1-14 from 3pt in his NBA career.

Bonga against Steph + LeBron 1 vs. 2 I'm taking Bonga, tbh.
