Similar balance as Klay on his jumper! Svi also has great ability to put the ball on the floor and excellent mobility compared to other 3 point specialists
he has a much better handle than klay. even though klay probably has better post game/defense.
He's going to be our Klay Thompson.. I expect him to take whatever playing time Lance would get away.. and will probably eat into KCP's as well.
I just watched Svi shoot 80% from the arc on 60 shots with Lonzo and Josh I know its just practice put the young man is special I don't know how they can keep him on the bench This is a 3 point game now love it or hate it , that's the way it is.Three point efficiency is the primary reason why Golden State has dominated the league even before they got Durant From what I'm seeing this kid is the best 3 point shooter on this team.
Defense is the big reason that the Warriors have been dominating. That still wins titles. We will see if Svi’s defense wins him playing time.
His short wingspan will not help him at that end. Decent at best will be nice.
His height at SG could help mitigate that somewhat. _________________ Under New Management

Just watched GT's vid on Svi shooting. Is his gather kinda slow or is it just me
Practice gather and game gather be different...?
Not worried about his shooting. Like Kuz, Svi showed he can shoot at game speed during SPL and FIBA. Unlike Kuz, Svi's coming out of college as an established shooter.
I'd be surprised if he didn't shoot well and I hope Luke can find time for him. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

I see a lot of comments on twitter and other places that this isn't at game speed and some people trying to say he has a slow release. People are also starting to question his defense too.
In Summer League, his release was anything but slow, and he played very solid defense. It's not conclusive to say he's a top notch defender, but we saw enough that many of us concluded his shooting can indeed translate to the NBA and his defense is not weak for a rookie coming in to the League.

Yeah, Svi doesn't have a slow release. It's faster in game than when he practices.
I really hope Svi gets plenty of burn this season because we will need him as seasoned as possible in 2019 for our killer bench rotation:
Hart
Svi
Kuzma

Yeah, hope so too. This is why I didn't like signing all those veterans. Luke might feel obligated to give them playing time.
Sort of like Dave Roberts. You give Dave Roberts a veteran, he's going to use him.
i.e. Ryan Madson, Chase Utley, Curtis Granderson, Brian Dozier

So, your starters are Ball, BI, James, Zubac (or McGee if he will sign for vet min) and next year's max FA? _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
The next Korver, which will be fun because the Lakers havent had a 3 ball pure specialist bomber in a long time in the upper echalon quality. _________________ How can I get a copy of a Laker game played on Sunday, March 11, 2001 Sonics/Lakers? If you know PM me please

Like someone pointed out in another thread we are probably going to resign KCP with his early bird rights also.
I love that GT is now in a position where he can get someone like Svi more noticed and recognized. Especially in a media full of reporters that just want to know what Lebron had for breakfast yesterday. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif
I love what Svi has shown so far, but I feel like most NBA players can shoot a high percentage in an empty gym. Gilbert Arenas just challenged Nick Young to a shooting contest 2 weeks ago, showed up to a gym with $100k in cash, and drained 95 out of 100 attempts. NBA players are a different breed man.
1. Balance like Klay
2. Better Handler than Klay
3. As good of a a shooter as Klay
4. Decent Defence
man Svi should be a top 25 NBA player. Come on guys
I don't know if I endorse all or any of those statements, but way to piss on people's sveerios (Ukrainian cheerios) _________________ Under New Management

true. nba players are special. and shaq could hit 3's in practice. like really hit them.
But, dont use gil as an example. the dude was a shooter/scorer from day one.
Svi hit them when we saw him playing in the SPL. and we saw he hit them in a variety of ways. off the dribble. on the move catch and shoot, stand still catch and shoot. thats a skill. and the real nba guys wont stop that from happening. as long as he doesnt get in his own head. he will knock down the same shots barring injury. the dude can really shoot the ball. its a real thing.
