Cavaliers were denying him the ball and playing real tight defense on him when he got it. As golden throat said in his video he needs to work on getting separation from a defender. Other than that he was great! _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

I was sorely mistaken initially. I didn’t think he was all that but man has he. Changed my mind. I see him as a much more athletic Korver. I’m starting to wonder that he could crack the rotation. I’m not sure he plays more than Lance but it’s possible. Ramona didn’t think so. She sees him as a up and down G league guy. I’m not so sure. |

The Lakers utilize the G league a lot with guys on the fringe of the rotation so I think him and Wagner will both be up and down G league guys while also being in the rotation from time to time. The G league and Summer league have become legit assets to NBA teams for player development in recent years and the Lakers have been amongst the leaders in using both. |

I think Svi will eventually be better than both KCP and Lance. Obviously,
he's not there today, t, he will be IMO. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Svi is better than Lance today. Lance has been absolute balls for a couple years |

I can understand how Clarkson, Nance, fall.
But how does this guy fall to 47? I know our scouting is good, but c'mon how does an athletic dead-eye shooter fall is weird! |

Measurables. The nfl won't draft corners high that run 4.6+ in the 40. Nba don't like players with short wing span. |

SBNation rates Svi as the third best rookie in Summer League:
Quote: | College fans will remember Mykhailiuk as the Ukrainian sharpshooter who came to Kansas at 17 years old and never quite lived up to the hype. The Lakers saw a 6’8 two guard who hit 40 percent of his threes over his college career and scooped him up in the second round with the No. 47 overall pick.
If summer league is any indication, it looks like a shrewd selection. |

Was really impressed with Svi making the All Summer League Team. Everyone was a first round pick except Svi and Christian Wood (undrafted but played for 76'ers, Hornets and Bucks over last 3 years).
Chauncey Billups asked "How did Svi fall to #47?" _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

Svi will be in and out, but like Hart I think by the end of the year he will see decent playing time....his shooting is going to get him game time |

Even with what he's shown, that could still happen just as a matter of the Lakers managing minutes and how to best develop a young player by getting him on the court in the lower league.
I'm not sure, but if 1st-rounders are eligible, I could see Mo going up and down between leagues, too. It's not that they're not good or have a bright future, but the vets are going to be treated like incumbents. They aren't going anywhere. And considering their value is expected to rise during the playoffs, the Lakers are more likely to be willing to play them through a cold streak than they would a rookie.
Which, full circle, adds to a likelihood of G-league minutes for Svi and maybe Mo. I'll be surprised if Bonga sees anything but G-league. |

Svi is only a year older than Kevin Huerter, yet check out their college stats. Really similar. Him dropping to #47 really just has to do with his wingspan. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Svi should get at least 10 minutes coming off the bench. He has the skillset of veteran sharpshooters like Korver and Reddick.
A bench of:
Ball
Hart
Svi
Wagner
Lance
would be top 3 in the league. |

Funny how that works _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |
