CP3 is 6.0 ft tall. You don't have a wingspan issue when it's longer than your height.

They can just use Svi as a 2 or 1... then it's not such a disadvantage anymore.

And you're defending PGs and an all-time genius basketball player/first ballot HOFer.

another game where he showed what he can bring besides being a spot up shooter. Great defense and some nice passes.

Think they are bringing him along just fine. If he’s hot, give him extended run. Otherwise just keep giving him a few minutes each game and keep developing him in practice.

His strength is a definitely an issue and something that will come with age and a full offseason of work.

SVI seems to be playing defense just fine with those short arms.

If this was last year they would be playing him a lot more and focusing on developing him during games. This year is different we are playing to win games and get into the playoffs.

SVI is going to be a really good 2/3 in this league and his brand of T Rex defense is going to be just fine.

So if CP3 grew 5 inches, he'd then have a wingspan issue?

Yes. Him and Svi would make up the "Dino Brothers"

Svi's standing reach is 8' 4"... which is normal range for a shooting guard.

Obviously, you wouldn't want him guarding players like PG13... but if you think of him as a taller guard instead of an undersized small forward then it won't seem so bad.

Some very inspired ball tonight. Hopefully Luke can find more minutes for him even with us getting Rondo and BRon back.

I think it is the time to switch his minutes and Lance minutes. No point to play Lance if he cant make threes. Svi can and because of that he need to play. Lance is basically useless on the court. Svi showed us in these few games he played that he can contribute more.

Wingspan is good to have.. positional awareness, lateral movement and timing is better. Sometimes you get a player with both, but I'll always want a player with the latter.

Svi's defensive footwork is impressive...not the quickest feet but the footwork often makes up for it...when he hones that skill he will be a beast.

His feet give me confidence that Kuz can/will sharpen his d...both have 'heavy' feet but if you learn to use them they can be an asset...think Larry lead feet Bird...he threw those lead anchors out like cops throw out those tire shredders in a high speed chase

Strength is a bigger issue for him than wingspan, imo, and he has the frame to add some good bulk. Of course, after four years at KU it looks like he never lifted a weight.

I guess so, If his arms didn't grow proportionately. What are you getting at?

Lance has been making 3s all season and was exceptional again tonight. No need to hate him in order to appreciate Svi.

Ill extend that to all of our other 2 guards... Why are KCP and Hart playing major minutes and combining for a disgusting 1-13 from 3? These two guys RARELY heat up after starting cold. Perfect opportunity to shake things up and give Svi more run yet our coaches dont.

Time to flip KCP for a PG and develop SVI as the lead 2 guard.

We need another PG right now and I would rather see SVI going through some growing pains versus KCP blundering along night after night.

He's a SG in the League. He has the footwork, speed, navigates screens and has the ball handling. Being 6'8" compensates for the short wingspan in this position.

He has to improve his shooting, but I'm confident he can be a 40+% 3pt shooter. Has to be at least a 85% FT, though (80% in his last year in Kansas, 57% this year in a small sample).
