The team didn’t stop there, also signing Jeffrey Carroll of Oklahoma State to an Exhibit 10 deal, which allows the Lakers to guarantee him money while still having the freedom to convert his contract into a two-way contract before the start of the season:

Yes, he had a rough senior season because OK State lost most of their talent and he was forced into a lot of bad shots....but as a Junior, shot almost 45% from 3.

He is the udfa version of Zhaire Smith. Good leaper though not on Zhaire's level with a similar shooting form.

I do not mind talking up Carroll....he will be the guy I am most excited about in Summer League. During his Junior season when he had Juwan Evans and Phil Forte around helping create shots for him, he was one of the most feared offensive players in the Big12. If I would have been asked before the 2017-2018 Season who the best pure shooter in the Big 12 was, I would have responded Carroll without hesitation.

This past season with Evans and Forte leaving....OK State was a mess and Carroll was the only legitimate weapon on the roster....and with no players on the roster to help allow him to do what he does best which is shoot and slash, he was often forced into less quality shots....but he still had a season full of highlights.

Yeah, I have no problem with the kid and wish he can actually turn some heads.

We always want the best outcome for the Lakers benefit.
