According to the staff he is also very intelligent. I hear LeBron is a fan as well. I think he has proven he can play in the NBA by contributing in a very short amount of time.

Mbenga came at the wrong time for us. Madsen was not an NBA player either but someone has to set screens, hustle and do the dirty work down there among other little things. We have a role for this dude and he’s making the most of it.

Source? Yeah I'm really loving his activity. To be honest, if he is 1 inch taller and 20 pounds heavier, he would be a starter.

Good for the kid playing well and making a lot of his opportunities.

If they want him to continue his role we’ll have to promote him to the 15 man roster. I say once Moe is ready we cut Zuby and put Williams in his spot, keeping an open spot still.

So nice to have someone sacrifice their body & set actual screens. The only solid screen I can remember from Randle was when he mugged Gordon Hayward on Mamba Night.

like what Im seeing from him and hope we keep him around but at the same time its a sad reminder of what we are missing out on by not signing an established center to pair with Mcgee. Imagine someone more bigger and talented getting Pick n Roll feeds from Lebron?

If he continues to hit those mid range shots, it’s going to space the floor and open some things for the lakers.

He has been great in the backup 5 role.

seriously, wtf is going on. Anyone in any gym can hit 60% fts. these nba dudes are pathetic. and why are we collecting them all? We have the king of the worst shooters, and all the worst shooting minions in the league all collected on one team. We're trying to do the opposite of the warriors...get all the worst shooters.

We still have an open roster spot. They can just sign him for the season if he keeps playing every game, which he should be.

He keeps this up and he becomes the poor man's Tristan Thompson.

Let's just hope he doesn't get paid like TT

I'm hoping for poor man's Jordan Bell.

I'd also take a stronger Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams.

Small sample size but Johnathan with a 159 ORTG thus far. Which means the Lakers are scoring 1.59 pts per possession when he's on the court. That's crazy.

He's the kind of guy fanbases rally around. His stances are goofy. But he works hard. He can get outclassed quickly. But in short spurts, the guy can be galvanizing. At the end of the day, his skill set and size doesn't seem great. But it is nice to see him get some run.

It’s funny. It seems like he transformed himself to whatever the Lakers needed him to be. We needed a back up center who can do the dirty work, get rebounds and set screens. So he comes back and does just that. We needed more vocal leaders on defense, and he was barking out switches and positions last night. In his post game interview he said he’s usually a quiet guy, but he did what needed to be done. Hope he stays this hungry for us, because we can definitely use a player like him.

I'm hoping he develops similar to Taj Gibson. Had to pick another left hander.

He does have that midrange jumper!

Your right. I can just picture him shooting lefty in my head.

Dummy me. Who is the lefty I am thinking of?

I know this is a BIG stretch, but watching Jonathan Williams playing center makes me think of if Dennis Rodman was playing center.

An undersized, lanky, athletic hustle guy doing the dirty work so the others on the team can do what they are best at.

He’s actually serviceable, still need a better back up for McGee, one that can start from time to time but Williams can be part of the 2nd unit rotation. Way to earn a spot in the league, hustle hustle hustle

Not feeling that haircut tho, not quite all the way flat top extending to a mullet like

The man is just trying to enjoy his hair as much as possible before it disappears.
