Based on the circumstances and what you know right now.

Randle only is the most likely outcome. If Lebron leaves Cleveland it will be for Philly. Why would he come to the Western Conference, where he has no window to get past GS into the finals? Sorry guys, Lebron, PG13, and the young core we have now is not nearly enough.

PG will not leave $10s of millions on the table to return to LA, especially if Lebron isn't coming.

The Lakers will have been used and abused again during free agency, just as they have been over since Jerry Buss passed away. Magic Johnson is not capable of recreating Jerry Buss' (and Jerry West's) magical touch in terms of convincing superstars to sign with us.

That said, I'm fine with it. I want to see the young core kept together and developed. This team has major potential if fans are willing to keep being patient. When Golden State's window closes in several years, we'll be ready to step into the void.

it would be nice to sign Julius as an over the cap luxury player who can play the 6th man role and the 5 for short stretches but I dont see it happening.

I would love for it to be all 3, but I think there are slightly larger odds of it being LeBron and PG (without Randle).

Basically, I expect the Lakers to lose at least one of their young core -- Randle, Ingram, Ball, Kuz, Lonzo, or Hart -- in the effort to maintain financial flexibility while signing LeBron and PG. Not sure which of the six it is. Though personally I would prefer they dump Deng with future draft picks and keep all of them.

Randle becomes a sacrifice to attain Leonard next year and Deng is traded (with a pick), AFTER James and George sign, for an expiring.

Randle only stays if he sign the qualifying offer or hens willing to sign a longterm at a tremendous discount, around ten mill per.

Otherwise, the Lakers let him walk and spin it as “we couldn’t afford to match his offer” (whatever offer he gets).

I listed, and remain hopeful, for all three but won't be too surprised if we don't keep JR.

You have to stretch Deng to sign James and George. You can't trade a stretched player.

I believe in Magic and Pelinka's ability to persuade LBJ, George and Randle to work together. Though I'm sure James wants the world to see him making the decision on his timetable, reality is that the Lakers can do more to build the roster if he verbally commits (play along) quickly.

Sure, any of the 3 can bail (especially Randle) but I trust the FO to get these guys to work together internally and break their news however they'd like afterwards.

Doomsday scenario. PG signs 1+1 in OKC. Kawhi stuck in his contract with spurs or other team not named Lakers. LeBron doesn't come. FO feels very confident they can get some combo of PG/Kawhi/Klay/other(?) in 2019. Randle is offered big long term deal and Lakers pass in the name of preserving 2019 flexibility. KCP/Isaiah/Lopez/other random player all come on overpaid 2 year deals with the second year being a team option.

The overall problem is, keeping the young core after rookie contracts. I really like Randle he does all the dirty work he's a young Zach Randolph but with us no matter who's on the squad he'll get more rebounds than points than Zach did. If Randle re-signs, Kawhi is unaffordable? Even if we get 2 it's going to be tough to keep Ingram (who I want the most), Kuzma (who'll want to start) & Lonzo if kept...

In a perfect world, we sign Jules to a one year contract (yeah right) & we get LBJ & PG13, we're able to get Kawhi if Randle signs elsewhere. I really hope we retain Jules cause as I said he does all the dirty work & I expect Mo Wagner to see plenty of time at PF, especially if Jules goes. In the long run, perhaps Lonzo & his sideshow dad is traded & BI can be our PG when or if LBJ isn't around in 4 years. The miles LBJ has already doesn't endear my thoughts of signing an aging player, but he would have to do less on the Lakers because any knowledgeable fan has to agree our roster is better than Cavs. I didn't vote because we can't control what happens & I refuse to listen to any sorts of media crap until something actually happens...

I can’t predict the offers for Julius this summer. I have no confidence they can keep him. It’s not about whether they can create cap space, but rather, if they should match an offer over $12 million. I’d only want Julius back on a role player salary.

We're talking 2022/2023 for the three rookies. I think we will go through a tax hell period for two years, but lets cross that road when we get there. Even if Randle should go by then, he will be easy to move.

You have to stretch Deng to sign James and George. You can't trade a stretched player.

In spite of James’ negative comments about paycuts, I have both James and George taking four million dollar paycuts to sign on.

That would mean Deng doesn’t have to be stretched and can then be traded (this offseason or during the season) to make room for Leonard next summer.

Quite intrigued with a Deng (plus filler) for Carmelo Anthony trade.

What if getting past GS isn’t near the top of Lebron’s priority list?

Yeah, patience is the key & I want us to be as young as possible so we don't EVER go through this low point again! I won't be disappointed if Bron stays in Cleveland, not sure if confirmed his kids are enrolled in LA schools? Even if PG13 makes a stupid documentary just to stay in OKC?

I really don't wanna lose Randle & allow Wagner to split time at PF/C. Kuzma could play SF/PF & Ingram (don't trade him at age 21 for anyone who's not a top 5 player) yeah even Leonard when we can get him for nothing next year. BI, can basically play PG/SG/SF.

So if we keep BI, Randle, Kuzma, Lonzo, Hart, Wagner, Svi, Zubac, Bryant & sign a top free agent or two, even if we don't & have to settle for guys we had last year we will be much improved. I hope Zubac & or Bryant get minutes next year, but NO matter what we need shooters & defenders to compete & make playoffs this season...
