Who are the teams that are getting all of the free agents and trades they want?
Nobody is plotting against the Lakers. The media idiots say everyone is coming to LA because putting the Lakers name in anything = clicks and attention. The Lakers are one of many non playoff teams out there trying to improve their roster and they're the only one that even gets looked at by other free agents. The Lakers have a long history of pulling off amazing trades. If a trade doesn't happen, it's because the other team chooses not to get screwed over.
The Lakers are the NBA's favorite team and that isn't changing anytime soon. The Lakers are in a down period since the last championship run, that's all. |

It's not a conspiracy. When you're a losing team max level free agents usually don't come to losing teams when they prioritize winning and are on a team that can consistently make the playoffs vs one that has yet to do so.
The Lakers are a much easier sell once they're a winning team.
The time has just come to start counting on the young core to be the one that leads us to win, rather than trying to tiptoe around building around them and praying a max level free agent rescues us from our drought.
