dude is a point guard with ADD. He makes the worst decisons. Has absolutely no basketball IQ. Here is a point guard that predicted the magic were going to be in the finals this year. Has the flatest shot and is a problem child in the locker room. Plus he has only been to the playoffs one time in his whole career. What's next, bringing antoine walker to LA???????
If mitch pulls the trigger for stevey, the Lakers are going to be doomed.
who the hell is wit me? i am going to sweat this out till the deadline _________________ "I love you chickie baby"- Shaq |

He isn't coming.
What the hell is wrong with you guys?
The Lakers could have traded Butler and last years for him this past summer. Magic GM likes Butler and as does the Wizard GM. Both were interested in him and spoke highly of him. I read both of them singing his praise last summer.
If the Lakers didn't do it then - What makes you think they want Francis now?
Come on. Just think about it and judge what Phil would want. |

Don't bother, you are being too logical for this bunch. Some people live in their own fantasylands and refuse to face the reality. |

This whole Steve Francis thing is just ludicrous. I didn't even pay attention to it because quite frankly, no one could be THAT stunted to trade Odom for Francis. It's laughable really. So don't sweat it. _________________ If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball. ~Phil Jackson |

Ok, this is a Los Angeles Laker's forum right?
This isn't the Clippers or Kings right?
What makes you guys think the Buss family can stand losing any longer?
What makes you think Phil or Mitch are going to stand in the way of ownership?
What makes you think Francis won't play any better with Kobe then Odom does?
Francis is an all-star, Odom is not. Deal with it. I think this trade if its true will get done without a doubt. _________________ Kevin Love. 2015. |

So what if he WAS an allstar. Jamaal Magloire was one to, but that dosn't make him a God of basketball.
Who cares if he was an allstar.
And its been 2 years of losing. The Buss family went way longer with West at the helm. What makes the Buss family so good is their patient. They don't go out and get overpaid former allstars. |

Well it's not true and this thread was for the please keep Stevie anywhere but here fans. In fact I would love to see Stevie go to the Kings! Stevie and Ronnie would be a riot together. Other players on the team would shower at home for the rest of the season just to avoid the clubhouse scene!
What you need to do is watch some Magic games, and, get this Stevie "superman" image out of your mind. You are'nt doing anything but embarrasing yourself... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

Agreed.
Francis is the polar opposite of a Phil Jackson PG.
Still, I feel obligated to remind those who are buying the hype and also
think it would be a good move that they're clinically insane.

Hey, don't you think you should learn some manners?
I've seen Magic games, and Francis has been inconsistent, and I didn't say he was superman...
Francis is better then Odom, IMO...

This is an insane idea and it'll never ever happen. I don't know why this ludicrous rumor is getting any play whatsoever. Odom has his faults, but he's ten times the player Stevie is. |

I really like Lamar's game, he is a tweener who can rebound and is always looking for his temmates, but i've seen no chemistry from Kobe and Lamar when they are on the court with one another these past two years. Even though they are friends they don't make eachother better.
You don't have to be Magic or Nash to make your teammates better. Kobe does that by demanding double teams and creating open shots for his teammates, who just can't seem to make their shots.
The triangle works best with outside shooters, and I was one who hated losing Rush, JJ and even Caron who I think is a better shooter then Lamar and Mckie. Mckie is only a decent outside shooter, and of course hasnt even played but so is Lamar, so I wasn't so excited when we got them in this offensive scheme.
Sasha doesn't have the confidence this season to consistently knock down open shots, and Smush is inconsistent as well.
I believe Francis, on the other hand, is a veteran who has the confidence to hit the big shots, the shots in games that come from a result of double teams. It doesn't matter if your short, you just need the confidence to make the play, like Derek Fisher for instance.
The Lakers too a risk on Lamar, and Francis is a risk I'd take as well. _________________ Kevin Love. 2015. |

Yea pretty much, im for getting him now, one less year, a legit all star , and here's what helped bring me over, the guy can pull down 7 boards a night as well. So he can do basically what odoms main strength is almost as well plus score and assist better. Only downer is kobe would have too be initatior probably till seasons end. |

Theres something called the Triangle OFfense. Steve Francis is probably the worst candidate for this.
You guys shouldn't have to worry cuz theres no way Phil brings this dude in here. |

Y in the hell do the lakers like odom so much, it doesnt make sense, he and kobe being the same age is that it? Their hoping they can make a great tandem eventually because the ony negative on francis is that, he's 2 years older? I dont know, i jus cant see the love for odom thus far , after a half season under phil hes no different, he same old lamar odom. |
