The front office is super high on Rondo. He will be playing a ton of minutes. With that said, I'm predicting a closing lineup of the following

Rajon Rondo
Lonzo Ball
Bradon Ingram
LeBron James
Kyle Kuzma

I think those five give us our best shot at winning

Terrible spacing.

Rondo or Ball should be on the floor, not both IMO. Hart/KCP better in the other spot.

Kuz as a center??
Rondo and Ball is a terrible combination as neither are reliable shooters.

Yes. Not bad defensively but there is no help in the paint.

Some interesting stuff as always in DB's thoughts and ratings, this time about Lebron drawing in defenders so he can kick it out to the open Svi for three.

But that brings the question: will svi get minutes? Barring injury, KCP and Hart will be fighting for the shooting guard minutes. At small forward, there's Ingram, James, Kuzma, Stephenson.

How are we going to find minutes for our sharpshooting rookie?

There will be plenty in the G League.
For Wagner and Bonga, too.

Would love to see some minutes to this lineup:

Hart
KCP
Lebron
Kuzma
Wagner

Its basically Lebron with 4 shooters.

SVI's time will come. This season when injuries occur some PT will open up. He will get some playing time.

Next season when Stephenson and Pope move on, I believe SVI will step up in playing time, playing behind Hart and BI, possibly KAHWI....SVI really looks like a steal at 47, Summer league I know, but you can see he is a real deal player...

How many shooters the lakers want? KCP, ball, james, kuzma, mykhailiuk, hart, stephenson, etc. They don't have big men (justo McGee and zubac), and lebron will have the ball, he wont play to much at PF. They need to trade for another PF o C

ball, kcp, ingram and lebron in same rotation? where's the defense??

Which one of Beasley or Harrell do you expect to come in and help our defense?

Beasley is a worse defender then all 4 guys you listed, Harrell isn't much better.

I think rebounding will probably be a weakness of ours. Randle helped fill in that gap. Outside of Lebron I wouldn't consider any of our frontcourt players good rebounders.

i thionk it would be best if we wanna win rn would be to start Rondo and let Ball run the secong unit. Ball is still learning and i think ROndo with JAmes will win us games rn. BAll will excel playing against second units. id go with

Rondo (28) - Ball (28) - Caruso(-)
KCP (22) - Hart (18) - Svi (-)
Ingram(30) - Stephenson(20)
James(34) - Kuzma(28) - Deng(-)
Mcgee(18) - Mo(8) - Zubac(-)

battle between KCP and HArt on who starts. i honestly like Hart and think hes starting worthy. ROndo vs BAll of course. Ball is the futurte but Rondo is just the smarter to go rinight now player. Then you have Mo vs Zu for backup C.

I love a lineup of
BAll
Hart
Stephenson
James
Kuzma

this will be an exciting unit to see run

I see a lineup where everyone plays multiple positions. Magic/Rob/Luke stressed versatility and the ability to play multiple positions a lot this offseason. So I see a lineup that gets shifted every 4 minutes of the game or so... something like this:

Lonzo (24) - Rondo (24)
Ingram (14) - Hart (24) - Lonzo (6) - KCP (4)
LeBron (14) - Ingram (14) - KCP (20)
Kuzma (32) - LeBron (12) - Ingram (4)
McGee (24) - Wagner/Zu depending on matchups (18) - LeBron (6)

LeBron, Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram = 30-32 minutes each
Rondo/McGee/KCP/Hart = 24 mins

What I like about our roster is we are so deep. As long as we're healthy, we should be 12 deep. And that's not counting Deng, Bonga or whoever we get for our 15th man.

As long as we are healthy, we should be able to play at a very high pace and have no worries as we'll have plenty of subs who can handle things.

Also, LeBron should be able to get a ton of rest on the squad. He won't have to carry everything like he did in Cleveland. That should help extend his career and leave him fresher for playoff runs.

Really like the roster, and this is just Year One. I only hope we stay healthy. If we do, we can be much better than people think and play a fun, exciting style as well.

This team can throw so many different line-ups out there.

Y'all will see.

Magic and Pelinka did a masterful job. Like, I can't stop gushing over how versatile this team is going to be.

We can't be without Lonzo for the final minutes for defensive purposes, and I think they'll play Rondo over the other 2.

Maybe if Ingram or Kuz is on an off night Hart/KCP will step in. But I think the proposed lineup should be our primary closing lineup.

Look up advanced defensive stats of Hart/KCP compared to Lonzo, I guarantee you'll be surprised.

Given our depth, we probably have a 9-10 player rotation. This is how I want it to look -

PG: Ball (22) / Rondo (26)
SG: KCP (10) / Hart (20) / Svi (10) / Ball (8)
SF: Ingram (32) / KCP (16)
PF: Lebron (16) / Kuzma (32)
C: Wagner (20) / Lebron (14) / McGee (14)

This is how it will probably look in reality -

PG: Ball (20) / Rondo (28)
SG: KCP (24) / Hart (14) / Ball (10)
SF: Ingram (32) / Stephenson (16)
PF: Lebron (20) / Kuzma (28)
C: McGee (24) / Wagner (14) / Lebron (10)
