You said "floor spacing " so why are you using FG%, and (my god) FT%?

Anyway, are you seriously not expecting Lonzo to improve his 3-pt shooting to where he's not more of a threat than friggin' Rondo?

I brought up all shooting stats to show it's not just 3pt shooting Rondo is better at. He's overall the better shooter, in every shooting stat available.

Like I've said twice already. I hope Lonzo is good enough to start over Rondo. That would be a good problem to have.

With the Lakers versatility, they could do a lot of switching, depending on who's hot and the competition:

C - [Lopez], McGee, Zubac, Wagner

PF - James, Kuzma, Ingram, Deng

SF - Ingram, Kuzma, Stephenson, Hart, Deng

SG - Caldwell Pope, Hart, Ingram, Mykhailiuk

PG - Ball, Rondo, Ingram

I love this signing not because I'm a big fan of Rondo but because it will create competition for Ball to earn his playing time.

And in the overall picture the Lakers have two viable PGs to run the team, get assists and play solid defense. Both have shown flashes of being able to hit open catch and shoot 3's too. They are likely to get plenty of opportunities to make them. They just need to deliver.

Same. I've been making Rondo-Lonzo comparisons for a while now. So happy we have both of them. With their similarities, we'll have consistency at the PG position.

My closing lineup would be

Zo
Hart or KCP
BI
Kuz
Lebron.

Hopefully BIs 3 point shot got better cause he’s the better player and defender between he and Kuz but I see why they’d start Kuz just cause he can shoot and he’s a better off the ball player.

I see us playing a lot of positionless basketball....We have 3 starter level forwards and I can see them on the court together a lot.

If Ball improves his shooting enough, is it possible that we may play him at the 2 a little to create more playing time for Rondo, especially late in the season and in the playoffs?

Yes, clone Kuzma over the Summer and just tell people he is the long lost twin, like it!

I prefer to think about minutes:

JaVale C (15)
Kuzma PF (26) SF (8) [total 34]
James SF (20) PF (8) C (6) [total 34]
Ingram SG (22) SF (6) PF (6) [total 34]
Zo PG (26)

Rondo PG (18)
KCP SG (14) PG (4) [total 18]
Zu C (15)
Wagner C (12)

Pick 'em:
Hart, Mykhailiuk, Stephenson, Deng SG (12) PF (8)

I do not want James even to see 36 minutes and only 6 or so minutes as the "C" in a really small ball lineup.

I like Hart ( thank you for reminding me about him ) but I put him in the grab bag at the end because we are paying KCP too much for him not to be the backup SG, assuming BI can start at SG.

Agree more or less but where is the Hart? He is better player than KCP at this moment.

Maybe you can even toss in Deng at center for a few minutes, but Lebron has worked miracles with traditional centers before. I'm looking for Zu and Mcgee to have CLE Moz type numbers on the PnR this season.

We somehow need to sign James Jones. That's the x factor and guaranteed ticket to the finals.

Against the Death Lineup of the Warriors, who ends the game on this team as presently constructed?

What about against Houston, Boston and Phila?

Starting is so overrated. Who ends games on this team?

Never really understood the "death lineup" concept. Why not just start with that lineup if it's so deadly? But we have no C and supposedly Kuzma has bulked up so: Lonzo/KCP/Ingram/Lebron/Kuzma.

We don't have a center yet so it's hard to say. We could go small with Lebron at center. Lonzo/KCP/BI/Kuz/Lebron

My guess would be:

Zo guarding Curry
KCP guarding Klay
BI guarding Green
Koozy guarding Iggy
Lebron guarding KD

Good thing they will make the jumps this year.

I think we match up pretty well defensively but we just don't have the offense
