After Lebron and AD, Rondo had the biggest contribution to this championship. And his play early in this game is what put the Lakers in the drivers seat.
Most of us were critical of Vogel throwing Rondo right back into the rotation vs Houston but he may have been the 3rd best player for the playoffs. Tied with KCP maybe, but dude took pressure off of and proved he worked well with LBJ. I'm eating a lot of crow over Rondo, he was great.
Dude is like clint eastwood, coming into town to restore order. He has that killer demeanor, and never gets too high (unless Chris Paul is running his mouth and flopping up and down the court.)
I imagine Rondo dropping some laconic lines before taking media darling Jimmy Butler off the dribble for layups, or knocking down 3 point bombs.
If he wins another championship as Playoff Rondo - definitely a Laker
This is a serious question....has there been any dropoff for this guy since his Boston days when he comes to play and is focused in the playoffs? Back then he never felt like a real threat to me especially since he was nowhere the threat that Westbrook posed when we had Kobe defend both. Now he just picks defenses apart. I dont remember him doing it all that much with Boston or really being a factor much at all. It was the gravity of Ray's shooting and Pauls bucket-getting that was the key for their offense

I think Rondo gets the most out of his teammates. He really plays well as a third option.
There was this play down the stretch in game 2 or game 4 where it was getting near crunch time. Rondo brought the ball up the floor and everyone was thinking this was oging to be a play through Lebron or AD, and Rondo got a layup. He just has this uncanny feel for the game and the balls to attack when they are tightening up to take something away from us. He really seemed like a third option out there, and that is the last thing I expected.
He just feels the game and picks you apart, just like you said, but he does so best when there are other players that they have to focus on to stop.
Some players can't find their niche when they have to play around other big names. Rondo creates his, and excels. He will put your team over, and its big pickup for this team.
