We have LBJ.
So it's nothing like our FAs in 2014-18. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

What exactly is the plan if we miss out on Leonard?
I really doubt KD or Klay are options.
Also, I really doubt Kyrie wants to play with lebron and for some reason butler wants to team up with kyrie.
So, who are we gunning for? |

Kawhi, Klay, vucevic are the guys I’d be interested in.
I’ll expect Butler to be grinded down by thibs.
I’m expecting our shooting to improve greatly this season so we might not need a hired gun. |

I think the Lakers makes it to 2019 Summer with pretty much Roster set.
Waiting till summer seem like risky business at best. Kawhi can go to the clippers. If Kyrie and Butler want to join force they are both out. Cousins with his injury. Klay and Durant will find it tough to leave GS.
But it just get me thinking all these signings is little odd and that there must be a bigger plan for the signings of Lance, Rondo, etc. IMO they might be used as matching salary come trade deadline when teams are more desperate to trade their impending UFA.
IMO the goal is to get 2 more stars...maybe Kawhi and Kemba Walker or something like that...
we shall see |

I hope we just continue to collect assets for the inevitable Anthony Davis chase.
Develop young talent, let aging LeBron James keep us competitive, collect assets for Anthony Davis. |

Magic and Rob are doing such a masterful job that, they have turned us into contenders this summer with still enough flexibility to be in the mix for another max player next summer! Bravo to Maginka. |

Maybe the plan is wishing leonard comes for free in 2019 and trading for Dame next summer. |

if we strike out on KL and Klay, Im not that enamored over Butler.
Vucevic seems like a interesting target but what is his status going to be? RFA/FA? _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Not sure Kawhi will ever be consistently healthy ever again.
I'd say Klay and Butler would be ideal. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

We get Kawhi at 2019 FA, and then flip some of our assets for a third star (eg. One of Ball/BI for Lillard, or both of them for hopefully Davis or Antetokounmpo). |

I know Kawhi is a top 3-5 player when healthy, but part of me prefers Klay. He's just such a chill, low maintenance guy who gets it done on both ends. Plus he has Laker blood flowing through him. This whole Kawhi saga has made me kind of sour on him. |

Could be as well, depending on how the two progress. Either way, we'd still have depth at a minimum with Kuz and Hart (both extremely cost controlled for a few more years), and Mo/Svi who we are all bullish about. |

Would Ingram be up for his extension in 2020? If so we might not have cap room for a 2nd max then. |
