Who is he unseating at the "frontcourt" spot though, especially with LBJ taking one?

When PG13, he of 3rd all-NBA fame is probably going to sweat making the West all-star team, it's quite a longshot for our kids to make it this year.

BI and Kuz will both be great this year but making an all star spot will be tough

BI has the best shot due to him being the second option at this point. 20/5/5 would be terrific but not enough for a all star nod. PG squeaked in last year with better stats

It is a really crowded field in the West.

It depends on how much fan voting matters. Never forget (and I've repeated it here a gajillion times) that AC Green once started over Karl Malone.

More people around the globe will be watching more Lakers games and know of the names of Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram!

B.I is breaking out this season. I think everyone around the league that had to guard him last season knows it. I remember his best games coming against the top small forwards around the league.

Kuzma is taking another step forward too

Imo we already have a big 3 and some 2-way role players that will compliment them really well by impacting the game in ways other than scoring.

Lonzo is really a Star roleplayer if that makes any sense. He’s def a star and going to be a top player in the league, but it won’t be because of his scoring like most other stars. He brings defense, rebounding,, versatility, unselfishness, playmaking. He’s not destined to be an all star this season, but his impact on the game will be star-like, even if the numbers don’t show it.

This is why fans shouldn't vote. I mean, I love me some Iron Virgin. He was one of my favorites. And I was happy for him. But yeah... I guess I'm ornery about All Stars games in all sports. I'm not a huge fan of it being a popularity contest.

Baskcourt- Thompson, Booker, McCollum, Mitchell
Frontcourt - Green, Capela, Jokic

consider at least 5 of these named guys will not make the All Star team...there could always be injuries and alternates.

The West is just banana's

On the face of it, one of the Lakers' young core is gonna have to go gonga to get an All Star vote and then he'd need some "cooperative health help" from a few listed above. If some young gun is to get an AS nod, something tells me it's Luka Doncic.

There's no way a rookie will make the All-Star team in the West. That's not happening unless he's absolutely dominating and his team is winning.

Honestly I could see BI and LBJ unseating Aldridge and PG13. Possibly Butler as well. Depending on how good our team is playing and what kind of stats are being put up. After all, LMA will be playing on a potentially losing team.

This is very simple: every Lakers fan ballot should contain 5 Lakers players. We outnumber everyone else. Don't vote for Warriors players, don't vote for Rockets, Pelicans, Thunder, Spurs, or anyone else. Don't worry, the coaches will vote in anyone else you want to see in the game. But pretty much everyone's ballot should be Bron/BI/Kuz/Zo/Hart. Those Bay Area people are going to try to stack it with their 5 anyway and we've seen enough of them.

We tried this before but then when the actual voting starts and there's a thread who did you vote for half the people on LG put non-lakers in it

No way, and more to the point, the GSW have four players better than the second best Laker.

Not that I think DRoz will be a surefire all star player, but his addition adds yet another possible all star (and KL wasn't on it last year).

Some do not get the concept of an all star game. If I watch, I want to see the best players.

What exactly is Lonzo's versatility and did we see it last year?

I know he can defend both guard positions but on offense he mostly played pg?
