But pretty much everyone's ballot should be Bron/BI/Kuz/Zo/Hart. Those Bay Area people are going to try to stack it with their 5 anyway and we've seen enough of them.

No way, and more to the point, the GSW have four players better than the second best Laker.

Some do not get the concept of an all star game. If I watch, I want to see the best players.

Exactly, if every city will vote their players in it’ll be an asterisk
All star game; me ? I’ll not be interested.

I don't vote for undeserving players just because they wear a Lakers uniform. I'm still embarrassed Lakers fans stuffed the ballot for AC Green over Karl Malone, and I'm glad the NBA changed the system to prevent such stupidity in the future.

If a player wants my vote, he earns it on the court -- and I don't care what team he plays for.

He was on fire from 3 when he returned from injury in February, hopefully he can keep it consistent this season.

Fan vote counts for 50% of the starters only.

yooo lmfao I (bleep) died at how he snuck in that contact advertisement.

Goes from talking about Lebron finding open three point shooters and transitions into an advertisement with this one sentence: "Clearly Lebron has 20/20 vision, but you might not..."

I’ve been a Ball skeptic, but I think he is the most likely to explode into stardom with Lebron. It may or may not happen, but I can imagine Ball emerging as Pippen 2.0. I have a harder time imagining the others exploding like that.

I can lowkey see that happening too. Lonzo can have an insane impact on defense, rebounding, playmaking and really controlling the game as Lebrons running mate.

Maybe he finds his niche on offense by running the break, cutting and using his hips to finish with authority. Although I see his three point shooting improving regardless

Alright at point guard you got

Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Steph Curry

penciled in, so no chance there

at shooting guard you've got

James Harden, Klay Thompson, DeMar Derozan

penciled in and you've also got Jimmy Butler or Devin Booker, so nope there

at small forward you've got

LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Paul George

penciled in. So Ingram would have to beat out one of those three

At power forward you've got

Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Aldridge, and you got Dirk who probably gets in as his final year.

but since they do a two 'forward' situation for the last two slots, the best chance for the Lakers would be if they have a 4 that makes the all-star team. So that would mean Kuzma could have the biggest chance, but I think LeBron is our starting 4 this year, so Ingram would have to be the biggest chance.

They've already scrapped traditional positions in the voting. It's been like that for several years now. That means no sharp distinctions between 3’s and 4’s. They're all grouped together as just wings.

BI was averaging 18+ and 5+ both assists/rebounds while shooting a torrid pace from 2's and 3's before his injury. He is the one that is going to feast with the addition of LJ. He grew leaps and bounds in his inside/outside game while having NO team mate that defenses worried about.

Kuzma is the most likely because he’s skill set fits perfectly with Lebron and Rondo. Plus he had over 300k allstar votes last year. Add his media tour when our season was over.

then there is....

Baskcourt- Thompson, Booker, McCollum, Mitchell
Frontcourt - Green, Capela, Jokic

consider at least 5 of these named guys will not make the All Star team...there could always be injuries and alternates.

The West is just banana's

If Kuzma is avg 20 + like I think he would Jokic and Capela will not get more votes

Well couldn’t Lebron put them on his team?

That's the context of the actual question, being an actual "All Star". To go with the popularity, it's only going to rise as I think he will be the focal point when James hits the bench. I think they play Ingram more with LeBron to be a defensive complement and that they want him to grow to be that 20 pt guy. It's such an odd thing to say, as both of them really can be 20pt guys, not that this is the barometer.

I really hope they both grow and both get in the convo for being selected, regardless of either being able to crack the hard west. Lebron already defeated the notion that he had to have an accomplished all-star to sign, the media was wrong and some of us were wrong. Going forward any sort of competition hopefully pushes each one to play better, but we really shouldn't be caught up in saying which one is better...though that's what we do.

DeRozan and Chris Paul are not locks. DeRozan we don’t know what kind of numbers he puts up in SA. CP3 can fall off the cliff anytime now.

Dirk will not be making the All star team. Last time he made it was 2015.

Paul George is NOT a lock. He wasn't voted in by fans or chosen by the coaches last season. He only made it as replacement when Boogie went down.

I think folks are discounting how difficult it is to make the WC All Star team.

BI/Lonzo/Kuz will have to take quantum leaps to make the squad this year. Doesn't mean they can't make it in the future, but this year, tough.
