At least one but maybe even two of our young core will be All-Stars! Believe it!

How much does the fan vote count for these days? Lots of people going in to vote LeBron will surely add a few more Lakers.

Found it. 5 starters decided by weighted voting system. (2 guards, 3 front court players)

50% fan vote
25% player vote
25% media vote

7 reserves decided 100% by the coaches vote.

Kuzma & Ingram are the most probable next season.

- Kuz has already showed he has star power in just his rookie year, being able to take over a game and has broken or tied 7 Lakers' rookie records.

- BI has shown big leaps of improvement from his first to second year, and if he can just stay healthy his ceiling in year 3 is high.

While i would love for one of our young guys to get the Mo Williams treatment and become an All Star next year, I'm not sure about that happening in the West

I can see it happening if we're a top3 team in the West by voting time.

Only injuries to the top dogs would probably allow another laker to slip in. But I doubt other Lakers will have the minutes and usg% to get the numbers to get the votes.

I would bet against it....the West is loaded....

Close to locks....

Backcourt - Curry, Harden, Paul, Westbrook, Lillard, Butler
Frontcourt - Lebron, Durant, George, Kawhi (if healthy), Davis, KAT, Aldridge

then there is....

Baskcourt- Thompson, Booker, McCollum, Mitchell
Frontcourt - Green, Capela, Jokic

Why?

edit....never mind I get what you are saying.

They might not be get named all stars but they the chances of them playing at a high level are very good.

I think we will have 1 all star.

Will be tough to unseat current guys. Maybe in a few years for Lonzo/BI/Kuz but not next year. Remember, LBJ takes away a spot that BI/Kuz would be trying to get in with.

consider at least 5 of these named guys will not make the All Star team...there could always be injuries and alternates.

The West is just banana's

Yes, but there are guys like CP3, Kawhi are injury prone and may not get in. Aldridge's legs may fall off too.

PG was left out the All-star team and only voted in when Cousins got hurt.

Don't know what happens to Butler and his drama.

Booker will be in a losing team so he may not get votes.

Anyway I know it's not going to be easy, but just gotta believe!

Remember, the fan voting only counts for a portion, which is how Lonzo/Kuz were able to sneak into the top 10. But ultimately it's other votes that count more and I just don't see anyone in our young core that can unseat the current all stars.

Unless Kuzma starts or gets more minutes playing next to LeBron then for sure. Ingram too if he's able to be a better jump shooter with more volume.

I think Kuz has the greatest possibility. His game compliments LeBron the best.

Jeannie is going to get her All Star though. And he may likely bump out PG13 of all people.

LBJ, will be a lock. I doubt any other Laker will make it in but if that should happen hopefully it's based on merit and not fan, media or player bias.
