Thoughts?
I am all about it, although the shaky cam is a bit bothersome (I get that it's a staple of this type of programming, but it seems amateurish). I thought the most recent episode (family therapy) was one of the weaker ones this season, but still really good [spoiler] (I think I was just bothered by how bad Kendall was at playing a drug addict/person high on meth. Ridiculous, has this dude ever done drugs in his life?) [/spoiler]
I could watch Brian Cox do anything - need more of him and James Cromwell STAT. Matty Macfayden is a GEM, he and Braun (Craig/Greg) are great together. |

| I absolutely love this show. Tom is hilarious, Roman too. The music is perfect. Brian Cox kills every scene he's in. |

A hilarious episode. Kind of took a break from the high drama from the other episodes; although there was some with Shiv and Logan and the ending with Kendall.
I am looking forward to the these next 2 episodes. I just hope Kendall's story doesn't turn into the Silicon Valley model of almost winning and coming up short every time. |

I thought the early episodes were great but it gets better each week. Easily my favorite show on TV right now. Incredible ensemble.

How do you guys feel about Logan? Sure he's an a-hole and terrible father but all he really wants to do is keep running his company. Kendall is basically just throwing a tantrum because his dad changed his mind, no?
Either way, I find myself rooting for Kendall and not Logan. |

Eh, tough to say. I don't really root for any of them, except for Greg, but Kendall probably has the most legitimate "claim" to the throne. In reality, it's not "their" company - it stopped being Logan (and, by extension, the Roy's) company when it went public. Logan *should* step down - although that doesn't mean I think it should go to Kendall. In a real sense, they are all horrible business persons, Shiv included. Logan for securing a loan that size against company stock (that is BEYOND dumb) and Kendall for not vetting Stewie and letting the fox into the hen house (a position I held before recent revelations regarding the true entity behind the buy-in). "effective voting control" - please, what a joke, your family only has 4 board seats and even if they have voting shares of 50 +1 %, that's entirely dependent on them agreeing as a family, an action which Kendall had no reason to believe the Roy's were capable of.
Roman is too irascible and erratic to be trusted. Shiv refuses to acknowledge the only thing she brings to the table - her name - and has been so blinded by the silver spoon stuck in her mouth that she actually believes she may have some talent to offer to a campaign. Connor is effete. Tom is too obviously unctuous to be charismatic enough at that level to lead (I know he's not a contender, just wanted to point out his obvious deficiencies).
And just to circle back to Kendall and Logan - they are great foils. Logan, the titan of industry that has let the game pass him by; Kendall, the Icarus-esque, new-age business bro that doesn't even see the game that he so desperately thinks he is playing. I like that they have Kendall's character arc (seemingly) giving into his instinct and becoming his Dad - no more fun bro who plays it chill and says yo and gets hurt by false stories planted in the news. No, now Kendall is the one who knocks i.e. plants false stories and cuts his enemies down with no hesitation. Still, he thinks far too myopically - I think Sandy and Stewie have made it *very* clear that they are not to be trusted, yet Kendall continues to dive in headfirst like he's a famous psychotherapist aiding a broken family at their New Mexican ranch (gods that was a beautiful home).
What do people think about Greg/Tom? I sense a violent end to that relationship. |

He played Kendall in the first few episodes like a clenched fist. When the coup failed the weight of the world came off his shoulders. Couple that with him using again and we get this side of him. It's a great performance, and we are seeing he's more than just one thing.

When he was trying to tell him about the affair? Sure Greg thought he was doing the right thing (and he was) but how many times does Tom have to tell him "shut up" lol. That one's on Greg for not picking up on obvious cues. |

| I know it was renewed....but I am doubtful a Season 3 is likely unless something improves with the ratings. The ratings continue to be one of HBO's lowest. I get it....it's pace, complex characters, etc. are going to eliminate a lot of viewers. |

Agree it was a great finale. Almost wish it was the end of the series. This has been one of the best first season shows I've seen in years.
