So here is another suggestion. How do you all feel about

Kuzma, Cook, and Daniels for Tucker and Austin Rivers if Houston keeps struggling.

Tucker would give us another great 3 and D player to back up Lebron and Rivrrs gives us another player that can create his own offense. The fact that he would get under Doc's skin is just an added bonus. lol

I'm okay with trading Kuzma, but not if I'm only getting PJ Tucker, the king of corner 3's but is inconsistent elsewhere from deep

Also pretty sure Austin has a NTC

This. Every time someone suggest more pgs I just shake my head.

Do you not think getting Rondo out of the rotation is a need?

Yes but the most important is getting physicals wings. We have lost to clippers, bucks and Boston who have them.

Heck even Aaron Gordan gave us some fits.

Sign collision and trade kuzma for wing help

So someone who can go out and tenaciously defend wings, are we talking about? Because you could probably trade Bradley for that, we already have Caruso/KCP/Green as guard defenders

nobody wants bradley

Nobody wants a guy that can create his own shot in the midrange and is a tenacious defender?

Just a thought if we want someone who can at least guard wings - how's GRIII's defense? Probably only costs salary and a 2nd

Rondo could be out of the rotation tomorrow and the team wouldn’t miss a beat without adding anyone else to the roster.

We’ve played some of our best ball when Rondo has been injured or barely played.

I do think that someone like Cook is of better use to us than Rondo, but someone like Collison is probably even more so, as he has the shooting ability combined with the playmaking, best of both worlds

It's about improving the team in as many ways as you can

Cook at least has a plus skill.

I would run PG by committee - Cook, Caruso, Bradley for the 13 minutes a game in the regular season if you couldn’t get Collison.

Right now Rondo is a net negative player on both sides of the court.

Caruso/KCP/Green are all better help defenders but no one in our team beside Bradley can pressure any lead ballhandler like he does. That alone is too valuable. The last 2 times he played Luka, Luka can’t even get into rhythm. That’s like a playoff role right thurr.

We might have to throw in a 2nd rounder.

Haha sorry about that everyone. For some reason my phone didn't copy the entire link. I wrote out the trade for Rose and Tucker a couple of posts later.

Lol, even if salary are matching, why does Houston even agree to that. They are all in with Harden and Westbrook right now. They have a better shot if they trade Gordon and a couple of 2nd rounders for Gallo.

If y'all want a wing defender, how does Jeff Green's defense hold up these days? Could be a useful rotation piece, actually worked well with Bron on the 17-18 Cavs

He’s mediocre/bad.

MKG is the one.. elite defense and hustle boards. Run him at the 4 next to AD at the 5 and we in business vs clips/bucks.

Ahh yes, I forgot about MKG. Can't shoot, but would be the perfect 11th man hustle guy, only 26 too. He'll definitely be bought out, getting pretty much no run for the Hornets right now

Probably doesn't fit our needs entirely but the other one from the Hornets I'd love to nab is Marvin Williams. Shoots well from deep, solid defense and is an okay rebounder for the PF position.

It'd be pretty easy to get both Collison and MKG on the roster, probably by just trading Cook for a 2nd and waiving Daniels, but I think you're then lacking a 3rd string guard shooter, someone that can easily come in and make shots in a particular situation. We saw how important that was to get us back in the game somewhat during the Orlando game. There's a way to maintain that guard shooter, but it involves giving up THT

Cook to Philly for a 2nd
Daniels + THT to Denver for Malik Beasley
Sign Collison and MKG with the two remaining spots

Then you can do Kuzma + Bradley for Rose + Morris on top of that if you wish

PG: Darren Collison - Avery Bradley/Derrick Rose - Rajon Rondo
SG: Danny Green - Alex Caruso - Malik Beasley
SF: LeBron James - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
PF: Anthony Davis - Kyle Kuzma/Markieff Morris - Jared Dudley
C: JaVale McGee - Dwight Howard - DeMarcus Cousins

Are we sure Collison can still play at a high level? If so, then by all means. We don’t have to trade our one asset for him. On the other hand, Rose does provide us with someone who can penetrate the paint. Only Lebron is able to do that on our current roster.

MKG played a lil bit earlier this season when they had injury’s.. just looking at some of his tape on YouTube from then and his shot looks pretty good compared to the monstrosity it was. Form looks much better. I think he should be the wing to look at if iggy/crowder aren’t attainable.

Would replace kuz if he’s dealt in a rose deal or whatever

I know we have a great record, but we have way too many holes. No young athletic wing, no dribble penetration, no secondary ball handler (Rondo doesn’t count), no wing defender and 3 point specialist (Danny Green ain’t it right now).

Pelinka pretty much has to turn water into wine for us to have a chance at the title.

Bit harsh I think, every team is going to have its strengths and weaknesses, no matter what their record

We can fix some of those holes by being somewhat aggressive through trades and buyout signings, however
