If Jalen Rose ends up being right we could have a chance to pair AD with Mitchell which would be pretty awesome although not sure how that’s possible especially with the Giannis dream.

utah controls his rights so he is not going anywhere. remember hayward?

Pairing up our 2 way player w/ a 1 way player, especially a non-elite 1 way player doesn't seem like a great move.

You don’t consider Mitchell elite?

I might be in the minority.
I think guys like Luka, Dame and Harden are elite 1 way players.
I think Don is a tier below at this time.

Trust me, Donovan is as talented as the players you mentioned he is a killer offensively and has elite athleticism.

That trio is much better than him offensively and he's not enough of a difference maker on defense to offset that.

Harden plays worse defense, also if we had to settle for either Victor Oladipo or Mitchell of course you go with Donovan especially with Oladipo’s Injury issues.

Oladipo will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021. If Mitchell doesn't sign an extension with Utah, they'll trade him and the Lakers have nothing that would interest them.

with JJJ injury he is gone next year as well.

do Memphis really want to keep Winslow around? when he has team opt out after summer?

I would try to get him for D Green and couple of 2nds. D Green goes to some other playoff team

Why should we trust that opinion?

How and why do you think Mitchell is on the level of Luka, Harden, or Dame?

LUka btw in an adequate enough defender and is just as good as Dame and Harden in only his 2nd year.

First person I ever heard of that put Donovan in that class.

He's a great young player with potential still left but in noway is he at that level. All those other guys possess that rare threat where they can win a game or two in a series on there own. Mitchell doesn't have that or at least I don't see it....

This will be a good time to steal a #3, maybe a #2 guy on a team. But if the cap depresses as expected, franchise guys would have to give up so much money to leave their teams.

The Giannis dream is officially dead, which thank god.

Extremely Stealable guys:
Joe Harris
Dragic
Gallinari
Aaron Baynes

Darkhorse stealable guy
Ingram

All playing for owners who don't like the tax and will be even more averse next year.

The pelicans are screwed. They have to pay
BI this summer
Holiday, Zo, Hart next year
Then in a year all their guys from this draft

MJ doesn't have any salary issues next year. Charlotte only has $80 million of guaranteed contracts, and most of them are expiring.

BI has to get maxed; I can't see them letting him get away after the type of offensive season he has had.

Holiday at least expires the season after next.

Giving Lonzo anything more than $15MM a year is pushing it, as far as I'm concerned. If he gets anything close to $20MM a year he's just not worth that. And Josh Hart is a nice player, but a replaceable role player. Again, to me, not someone I am too keen on paying more than $10MM a year to. I feel the same way about Kuzma, by the way, although he has at least turned up the defensive intensity and that's nice to see.

And yeah, Donovan Mitchell is not an elite, "superstar" player. Just not there yet. But he has room to improve from his borderline All-Star level and is still young. But he's not Luka, who is an offensive wizard already. And it's not like Mitchell is locking people up defensively, obviously. (Very few elite offensive players do, though, to be fair.)

People often forgets about all the RFA going in sign and trade situations last year. Donovan have had some drama issues with Gobbert this year, so there is always a posibility.

Sign & Trade

DMitchell for DGreen

I disagree?

Dame is in prime.

But Luka is doing All World stuff.

Mitchell to me is a great 2nd option.

I understand and respect the opinion of those who say that Don isn’t in the Luka/Harden/Dame class but he is still a very talented player.

I like Winslow but he is injured way too often. Can't rely on him to stay healthy through a deep playoff run. But this is probably around what Danny Green gets you.

Keep an eye on Spencer Dinwiddie. I think he may be in play for the Lakers. Would be an interesting wing shot creator for the team.
