Victor Oladipo is "looking to move on" from the Pacers this offseason, per @JaredWeissNBA

As he should. But not L.A., stay in the east bro.

indy is never going to trade with us so not wasting anytime here

Larry Bird still has a role in the Pacers FO.. right? Maybe he will help his old Celtics team.

Or Victor for PG again!

If this a legitimate approach, I can 100% see a VO for Hayward trade. Gordon is from Indy, I believe and may want a homecoming if they can get it worked out. It gives Boston a step up, while getting the albatross off of their books.

That said, I hope Gordon stays put for that ^ very reason.

Question: I know the Lakers want to avoid taking on salary past 2021 in order to pursue one or more major free agents at that time.

How does the MLE affect that? If we sign someone on the MLE to more than one year does that similarly hamper our long-term spending possibilities? Or, because it's using the MLE, it wouldn't affect the broader budget?

It counts just like any other guaranteed deal, so they'd be looking to use it for a year in the scenario.

There are certain players worth losing that. Someone like Bradley Beal who is still young and can be paired with AD. Other than that, we should still have that on our rear view while tying to milk whatever left of Lebron . I think Gallo could be a nice option for a year. I don鈥檛 think guys like Harkless will take one year deal .

Yeah, for sure imagine Kawhi and AD. Clips could have easily offered their PG13 package to the Pels.

And how would y'all have felt?

All mad over a few swaps in the future?

The swaps are even going to be used. I also thought at the time we gave too much, specifically because Klutch had poisoned the well for every other team. But after the season that鈥檚 a silly critique. Letting that situation drag on or risk losing him to a team that is willing to risk it is such a more damaging hit than a few swaps that won鈥檛 convey anyway.

The thought of Kawhi and AD teaming up for the next 5 years should have given the Lakers FO a sense of urgency.

New Orleans played it well after Magic poisoned trade talks and made it plausible their owner would take a lesser deal to keep him from the Lakers. I doubt that was true but Pelinka had to get the deal done. In the end it was win-win really, which isn鈥檛 a bad thing (unlike Ainge who is always trying to fleece the other GM).

It really should also be said that the future draft position of the Clippers is WAY WAY WAY worse than the Lakers. New Orleans has the upside if we鈥檙e bad for a number of years, but we鈥檙e really only down two 1sts. The Clips are down FIVE 1sts plus swaps.

And I can see them moving PG13 too.

Ballmer is pissed

He was probably waiting to see if the Nuggets would beat the Lakers.

That's too bad as a Lakers fan haha

We're about to hear every analyst talk about how he is just simply an absolutely "great person!" but not a good coach which we have all mostly known for quite some time now. That great person quality really helped him extend his coaching career though. Without that and his 2008 win due to being one of the first modern era "super teams" he'd be talked about in the D'antoni group at best imo.

Fine by me. This isn't prime Popovich we're talking about. He isn't Bill Belichick'ing out there.
