Boogie had a pretty good debut tonight. 14 pts with 3/4 3pt. Still looked rusty outside of the shooting but it's nice to see him in action again. Now we wait for Sentient to tell us told ya so...

Same. I’m not big on Tobias, not for the $ he will ultimately get.

Boogie looked really good tonight. I've seen him gimpier before, with his feet problems previously. Looks like he'll look really good next year, like 90% of himself.
I rather sign him to 2/60 deal than strike out.

Why? The Celtics own their pick.

It's top 8 protected and they are currently the 6th worst team

So basically the Celtics really are giving up nothing better then the 9th pick. Although they have a few to offer. It really puts it in perspective, I think people look at it like they have these franchise altering assets to offer for sure. Not saying they arent good assets.

He feels like a future overpaid Knick.

Who tf do you want then?
We (bleep) up not trading for Kawhi or PG if we don't sign Kawhi or KD this summer.

Klay of course we need a SG.

PG and KL don't want the Laker light

I think we got a better shot at AD or Kawhi than we do Klay

PG wanted to be here, we could have moved Ingram or Lonzo (rather move (bleep) Ingram). He ended up liking OKC and russ a lot. But we had the shot

KL hasn't had his chance to pick yet

Don't worry... Yinoma will come up with a good excuse in the morning.

As I said... the bright side is they can't sign everyone... so one of Boogie... KD... Klay... Draymond will have to be shaken loose in the summer.

But it does look super bleak for anyone this year.

Ha. But he’s playing with 4 all NBA guys and was able to rehab for half a season. Plus it was rondo or Boogie at the time. Good for Boogie but he lost a lot of money. Might as well get paid to rehab (and get a ring).

Do I gamble on a 4 year max for him? No way.

The Warriors and their 5 All Stars from last year will steamroll everyone in the finals. This is why the Lakers shouldn't make any major trade this season - it won't matter anyway.

Wait till next season when the Warriors have to play with only 3 all stars, and their coaching deficiencies and lack of depth will come to the fore. Then Lebron, their FA acquired over the summer, and the pack of improved youngsters will be in a good place to win it all

I'm not really tripping over not signing him or the Warriors getting him. We've seen on occasion the contenders get a really good player for super cheap. I thinking Ray Allen in 2012. Hopefully we can get a player like that this summer.

Saw the box score. 6 fouls in 15 minutes. Pretty impressive.

Remember everyone was upset when Boogie signed with them bc they had the luxury of bringing him on. Lakers had less of such a luxury and used ther space on rondo (after Lonzo had knee surgery).

It’s not that I thought he was a poor pickup at that price, it’s that we couldn’t afford it based on opportunity cost. Remember I even was open to him as a FA (check my 2018 FA posts) until he blew his Achilles.

Come on man, you know no team in the NBA has a quit attitude, Lakers aren’t gonna waste a year just because you think GS is unbeatable.

Well, TBH I'm a pretty big fan of the young core also so I'm a little biased in my judgements

I still think we can fluke a win... if we trade for someone like Vucevic or Kemba... and everyone is healthy.

Vucevic = injured Boogie
LBJ = KD
Klay > Ingram but Ingram can slow him on D
Kuzma > Draymond on offense...
Steph >> Lonzo... but Zo can slow him on D
Our bench > Their bench

If we make no trades... it's hard to see anyone beating them... but honestly I don't think the gap is insurmountable

Next year... we will be better if we get a good second agent and they lose one or two.

DLO this past month: 21/7/4 on 48/39/93

He'd be our best shooter in every aspect by a mile man (bleep)

I don’t blame you for thinking no one has a chance against GS, but I will never doubt LeBron when it comes to the playoffs.. we only need LeBron to play at a MVP level and he always does in the post season, even the Warriors would admit that they are never relaxed when LeBron is on the floor because he is still the best player on the planet.

He probably wouldn't be doing that in our trash offense.

He’s having a great season. Are we sure he’d develop under this organization? If so then wait until you see what Kuz, Ball, and Ingram can do in a couple of years. Especially if they played for a good offense like the Nets.

But back to DLO, his scoring and court vision are scary. He waits until the defender commits and finds the open guys a lot, like Allen.

His ts% this season is .523. That would put him 10th on our team.

But hey, we can re-sign him this summer. Maybe the plan was to let him develop properly somewhere else and re-sign him when he is ready.
