26 year old Kobe does what Butler did, but to an even greater extent. He wants to compete and win, something neither Wiggins or Towns has come close to proving. |
Kobe only publicly called out his current teammates once as far as I remember, the infamous Jim Gray interview...
That does't include the numerous times he took a dump on Smush after the fact |

It’s not about being ready to win it’s about being willing to do the dirty work necessary to win. Hart and Lonzo already do that, Ingram is starting to and Kuzma seems willing to learn. KAT and Wiggins aren’t. |
Jimmy and Thibs are running that narrative hard to the press, though, and it's difficult to separate what's real and what's fiction about the TWolves young guys - especially KAT. |
I don’t think it’s all that hard to see when they play though. KAT and Wiggins should be two of the best defensive players in the league with their size and athleticism. They are mediocre at best. They played like a lottery team without Buter, even without him those two guys should be able to get them into the playoffs with their god given abilities. It’s the analytics era and they are useful but having the right mindset is still extremely important and I’m pretty confident neither has that, at least not right now. |

A chance for a better chance at a title and you wanna keep him far away only because of the Minny and there dysfunctional franchise acting up, we all know KG eventually wanted out of Minnesota cause of there crappy FO... but no one complained when he left. |
Butler seems to be a malcontent. We will have numerous options available when the time comes. |
We had Ron Artest when he was even more of a hot head and that was with him causing drama, he completely changed as a player when he came here and was probably worse then Butler was in terms of attitude. |

So was Butler when he first got to Minny.
Luckily, our core has focused more on winning basketball and less on stats. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I buy it to some extent, but Thibs' ICE-heavy defense is also probably outdated and he seems like a terrible communicator. I want to see KAT under a different coach before I write off his defense entirely.
But Wiggins seems like a lost cause. _________________ Under New Management |

Yeah, I don't think DLo and Lebron would've meshed well together long-term. _________________ Under New Management |

Magic identified early on who would blend with LeBron and who wouldn't. |

Minny really screwed up by trading for Butler. Oh well, less competition out West. |

Towns/Lauri is nice offensive duo for the next 15 years. + Lavine, and Dunn. They gave up the possibility for a real offensively gifted team |

If you saw the years Minny missed the playoffs after KG left, you would know why the Wolves got desperate especially with a franchise big on there team and a nice
young player in Wiggins who declined after he didn’t become the 2nd option on the team.

Don’t understand why Minnesota doesn’t suspend Butler without pay for missing practice and conduct detrimental to the team.
It would be nice to see teams show a bit more of a backbone with players under contract. |

Rudy Gay with 28 pts against the Hawks, nice to see him resurrecting his career after the ACL injury. |

Reminds me of when Kobe ripped his teammates and Mitch in practice, Kobe obviously had a lot more currency in terms of success...but we all know KAT and Wiggins are weak, good on him for speaking his mind. |

Minny should have never gave Wiggins Al that money.
If I was only Minn I would try and get a draft pick and a prospect. |

What a disaster that trade has been for the Wolves. Considering the assets they lost, Thibs's inevitable firing (how has he not totally lost the team at this point? how long do they do wait?) and the leadership void Wiggins and Towns will almost certainly never fill themselves after getting neutered by Butler, that trade may have set the Wolves back 5 years. The Knicks/Melo trade almost looks palatable by comparison. |

You don’t want a winner and a competitor on the team? |

While I won't go as far as to call Butler a cancer, he nonetheless doesn't seem to be the kind of player who one might call patient. I don't blame Butler for this since he is getting up there in years and probably badly wants a championship.
Be that as it may, could be a problem pairing Butler with our young core who are not immune to immature decisions (see e.g. Ball/Kuzma social media battle royale in the summer) |
