Lakers made a brilliant move with that

Lavert is probably the better player currently and would be getting all of Russell’s hype if it wasn’t for the timing of that injury.

As of right now I probably wouldn’t give Russell the max, but he’s young and you have to fight off other teams, so who knows.

I wouldnt touch him anywhere near a max. The guy still has the same faults and isn't a true PG. He can't make plays, he turns it over more than he assists (look at playoffs), inefficient, can't get to the rim when defences are locked. Lavert is a much much much better player than DLO.

Yeah but I think he is still dealing with a injury... he is better then KCP.

Daryl Morey is shakin in his Reeboks knowing that you're gunning for his job.

What Brilliant move????

He had one game where he was looking for his shot and not his teammates.... Not his fault that Joe Harris went from top 3 pointer to shooting 18 percent in the playoffs from 3 land. Carroll is shooting 25 percent, Kurucs 0 percent, and Dudley 28 percent.

His decision making been good, however, the 76ers are doing extremely well clamping him down....

-10 in the first game
-19 in the 2nd game

More turnovers than assists, shooting under 40%, can't play a lick of D.

Brillant move in calling it quits on a guy thats going to demand a max contract that has a limited ceiling and in return clearing a cancer contract and gettin Kuzma. BRILLIANT. Enjoy Nets

I would be estatic if we could get Vucevic and Bojan as a back up plan if other star FAs go elsewhere...

Make it Tobias and Boban for the price of a max and it's a good consolation price

I like Tobias Harris but it seems like he already has a home in Philly, I would definitely like him as our plan B though.

This is stupid, sorry for wasting your time but I present to you: Kuzgram Ball

Lonzo Ball's position, athleticism, passing skills, help defense and IQ.
Kuzma's iso ability only in terms of how fast he can get his shots off and quantity of threes.
Brandon Ingram's body (6'9/ 7'3 wingspan), his overall iso skillset, man to man defense and driving to the rim ability.

Rookie year stats: 18.7/7.2/6.9 on 50/36/76 with 5.6 threes attempted a game and all of Lonzo's advanced stats.

Where would he rank as a prospect?

Where would he rank in the league in his peak?

Would you trade him + 11th overall for Anthony Davis straight up this off season?

That would be an amazing prospect , so no.

Remember when it was initially announced that Levert was part of the DLO trade? I bet we turned that down because of “CAPSPACE”. Bropez, Kuz, and Levert, plus some cap relief and getting rid of Moz would have sounded a lot better.

Except with Ingram and LBJ beside of him, he’s not going to be a focus for the defense. Imagine the lanes opening up for Ingram with DLo beside of him. This is his first playoff appearance. He’s going to struggle. To be expected. I think he still has another level he can get to.

What the Lakers could actually get in a LeBron James trade

wow, all of those suck

I know these are just hypothetical but I'd take either the Rockets or Nets deals in a hot second. I've actually written that same HOU deal a coupla times here. The Nets deal is also great.

How do these suck especially if they give us a better shot at Kawhi? We could also do some things with those picks. This is not about trading LeBron away for some petty reason... I really think both deals leave us in a better place for the future. The HOU deal probably gives Lebron a better shot at winning one last title next season than he'll have here and before he starts to fade. Win-win for everyone.

1) Houston deal
Lonzo / ?? / Bonga
Ingram / Gordon / Hart
Kawhi / Bullock
Kuzma / Sekou
Capela / McGee / Wagner
+ 3 1st round picks

2) Nets deal
Lonzo / ?? / Bonga
Levert / Harris / Hart
Kawhi / Ingram
Kuzma / Sekou
Allen / McGee / Wagner
+ 2 1st round picks

Houston wouldn’t give up all those unprotected picks and Capela (on a good contract), especially not to build around a core with an aging CP3 and LeBron. I do think they would give up Capela, Gordon and a pick. When Morey made his 4 pick offer for Butler, he was also shedding bad salary and they weren’t unprotected.

theres nothing about Capela that makes him worth LEbron. The guy excells simply beacuse he has HArden and Paul. We could find a Capela at the 11th pick. Capela is overrated and nothing but a role player in the league. Lebron for Capela is a joke
