If it's the quote I remember seeing, he made it sound like he won't be recruiting on behalf of the Lakers. He's going to be doing it more on his behalf. Not that he isn't recruiting. _________________

He needs to be involved in some manner. I don't think he wants to be a 40-45 win team for the next 3 years. |

Windhorst doesn't have sources in Lebron's camp anymore. He doesn't know jack. Lebron has been LeRecruit for the whole season. He will definitely be at the meeting next to Vogel. |

Blazers emptying the vault for Dame. Highly unlikely he's moving south. _________________ Not a legend |

Did he look invested to you this past season? Like a motivated player that was going to be held accountable? To me, he looked like a player that was going through the motions. not just after his injury but from the start.
IMO this goes back to Magic and the message being sent to the Face of the Franchise. Magic was given the figurehead job and recruited James. But we can only guess at what he promised behind the scenes. A 2nd max? A roster that supported him? Full support of the coaching staff to play his style?
None of that is surprising as the price to James signing. But what about when Magic failed to deliver? What was said or promised then? Reports are that Magic chose to coast in his position, any surprise that James did too?
It will be interesting to see how much gravitational pull James still has with free agents. Will they still flock to join him? Do they believe he has the ability to flip the switch and contend for the next couple seasons? Or are they looking for better opportunities?
Lakers organization has backed themselves into a corner that they may not be able to fight out of. Especially if we don't know how much "fight" James still has in him. |

Isn't this a violation of the salary cap?
Not that it's not a good idea but... Ballmer could comp every restaurant, hotel, club, in Southern California. |

Every other day there will be some news report that says some other team is in the lead for said FA. |

Griffin: Hmmm, talk in 2 weeks?
Pelinka: Sure, let Zion sign with Klutch first. |

Portland doesn’t have a choice if he leaves they won’t be getting his replacement in free agency. Btw I think Julius would fit nicely there. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Hey this was before Kawhi the playoff legend appeared. Things are fluid. Just keep your fingers crossed |
