If it’s for 18M per year ... yeah, but if he wants something like 25M+ per year then no.

I mean, Woj says in the same tweet that the Kings and Barnes are open to working a new deal in the summer. Plus the Lakers can't afford the man.

I wouldn't. Again a small forward, sometimes small pf. The role of a true shooting guard is very important imo on a LeBron-Davis led team. . i don't wanna be in the same situation as last year with guys playing out position with goofy ass lineups

If anyone can afford to take a pay cut in order to win, it would be Harrison Barnes.

Yup. Regardless of the outcome and when the trade is executed, whether AD takes the trade kicker or not....It was discussed and planned for. It is not possible for every single person involved with this trade in the franchise to overlook something your average joe knows about.

Maybe it's not the ideal turnout (Pelicans said if you make us wait til the 30th then we will take a Tatum deal from the C's, etc), maybe it is the ideal turnout (we have contingencies in place for how to have max slot open etc). But there's a negative 500% chance it was just "never discussed."

I didnt click that sorry site.
But if you did, can you see if they sourced anyone (perhaps one of the guys who were giving their opinion yesterday)? Or if they had their own inside info?

Just rehashed "info" from Ramona.

Barnes opting out of $25 mil seems risky.

I’m told that Kawhi Leonard will NOT consider the Knicks or Nets. The only teams Leonard will consider this summer: Raptors, Lakers, Clippers, sources say.

OK, this is the make it or break it tweet for him. If he's wrong, I will never post his tweet again (unless as a joke).

dude, nobody thought he was considering the Knicks or Nets. He gave you the two teams he is most closely tied to and the Lakers. My source told me that Kawhi will not be considering the Cleveland Cavs.

I think Lebron and Rich Paul only cared about getting AD to the Lakers at whatever cost necessary. We wouldn’t have had max space if the deal happened at the deadline so clearly that wasn’t a big factor back then.

Based on the deal we completed, it seems clear to me that Pelinka felt he had to make the deal and I really doubt he or Paul or Lebron would say no to it if it meant no max room.

Regardless of the situation, I feel like the Lakers could use the extra cap space gained from trading away Wagner and Bonga. The role player market may be very competitive, and a little extra could tip the scales in the Lakers' direction.

I think he sees verified reports and copies them, and also the only connections he has is his own when stalking players leaving LA hotels.

Some of these "reporters" are the equivalent of psychics or horoscopes.

They spout vague generalities that could be interpreted in all sorts of ways.

What's irritating is people get away with this in the post print media paradigm.

People don't have to go to school anymore and learn even the most fundamental journalistic ethics.

It's all about the clicks and followers.

We have influencers these days instead of reporters.

And most people don't have the fundamental critical thinking skills to parse the difference.

If that’s true I’m pretty sure mods would tell us not to post his tweets.
