Conclusions from this Bos/Tor game:
-Kawhi is so (bleep) good
-Teams seem evenly matched
-Boston got the calls late
-Some Toronto role players still seem to shrink in big moments
-where is overrated Jaylen Brown. Don’t see him

Yeah but as of right now his lack of scoring hurts us until we get a reliable elite scorer next to him and LeBron

Which is why I’m sticking to my belief that Lonzo is the one to keep most out of all of the 4 .. I believe he’ll blossom into an allstar with the right cast around him ..

I thought Kawhi made that last shot in regulation.
But alas, not today.

Yeah let’s hype up other players while discouraging our players, I would say the Lakers have looked a lot better then the Celtics since the season started.

Jayson Tatum (before tonight) this season

From 3 to 10 feet 39.1%
From 10 to 16 feet 27.3%
From 16 to 3 pt line 27.5%
From 3 point line 40.0%

BI

From 3 to 10 feet 36.4%
From 10 to 16 feet 36.7%
From 16 to 3 pt line 45.0%
From 3 point line 35.0%

Tatum gets near universal acclaim... BI gets no respect...

I would say both teams have looked equal to this point. Thanks in large part to LeBron and McGee and the Celtics early struggles acclimating new players .. remains to be seen if it stays this way by the end of the season

And I’m not putting down our players by giving credit to superstar Kyrie and one of the best young prospects in Tatum..

Our players are also getting accustomed to this team, but I agree let’s give credit were it’s due, however at least we have 3 good young players, Tatum is the only young bright spot on that team, Brown looks like he belongs in the G League lol

I’m not high on Brown ..

His defense is all that he has going for him

I know there's context to this from the BI thread.
But one guy takes 2 3s the other 4.6 3s a game.
That being said, Tatum is overrated imo.

Why? LeBron literally sucked the life of the Blazers with his performance the lose against the Wolves was because they are still hang overed from our game, that makes us feel good as a Laker fan.

I believe Minnesota only has 1 loss at home this season, they’ve been really good there

Portland blew them out in Portland FWIW.

Neither is playing well enough this year.

Tatum had two points in the first half and got hot at the end... something Ingram might do. BI always seems to have good halves but rarely a full game start to finish.

I'm just playing... but it's true that people think Tatum is amazing when BI is killing him on the midrange this year.

BI does need to start shooting the threes to get to Tatum's efficiency.

God mode to beat the Knicks is kinda amazing, but I won’t laugh I’m pretty sure we will need similar performance from LeBron when a bottom feeder comes in and wants to beat us lol

Except we've seen Tatum light it up. There's an entire season of evidence that he can score, and within the offense. Difference is this season he's eager to show off his work with Kobe and there's too many mouths to feed in Boston.

In 2+ seasons BI has not shown what Tatum has already shown.

Last year people dismissed Tatum, saying he had Kyrie to open things up for him.

Well this year BI has Lebron.

Just realized 2K updated their player ratings

At the start of the season BI was 82ovr and Kuz was 80ovr

Now they’re both 81 .

Mitchell shot 13 for 35 tonight and 1 of 11 from three.

Don't get me started on him this season.

But I like Tatum and Mitchell... The difference between you and I is that I like BI a little more than you do and I'm not judging him until mid season.

You're right. I shouldn't downplay a virtuoso performance by him.
