100% this. |
If they felt comfortable projecting McGee for 80 games and 30 MPG, then I could understand pursuing Faried. Since there are also questions about McGee's durability with a heavy load, Noah appears to be the more prudent choice rather than Faried. |

Gortat or Greg Monroe could also be decent options...
I agree Bard - McGee can't be depended on for an entire 80 game season. |

Is Dwight the only center available who could realistically match up against centers like Jokic, Nurkic, Gobert?
Faried is undersized.
LOl at Dwight coming back here but wow he may be the best option or at least worth a flier like Carmelo was given last season with Houston. If it doesn't work 10 games in cut him. |

Right now I would sign Dwight Howard.
He is still a defensive player who can rebound.
And that is what is needed at center.
Insurance for McGee.
Dwight must have learnt from his past experiences.
And would give him a second chance with the Lakers.
Especially if he gives a chance to win the chip. |

The Lakers need some big guys at C and PF. Players who can rebound, play defense, and protect the rim.
Kuzma should be more of a SF than a PF. And Dudley is 6 7.
And there are too many guards. And only one SF.
It seems the Lakers go overboard in a philosophy without looking at balance.
But right now the future is now and should go all in to fill the needs of the team.
Noticed this last year and Chandler came in to save the day before injuries.
Have to get another big as insurance for McGee. |

Thing is, the clippers who need a center have not signed Dwight. Sometimes it just goes beyond ability.
He’s not a bad player, but we need to learn our lesson from last season and minimize any drama/meme team type issues. Dwight and Melo signings would be repeating the same mistake imo. |

We might have to just get a G-League guy, or hope one of the camp invites does well enough to be a backup.
Unfortunately for AD, he might have to play more minutes at the 5 spot this year. |

If the ACL is torn, we should be able to get an Injured Player exception out of it. $3.5M. Not much, but it's something if we need to sweeten the pot for someone that gets bought out. |

I'm still going with Noah. And you may have to get another backup C on top of Noah too.
We are so inexplicably guard heavy. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It's ridiculous to sign two more backup Cs with AD on the roster. _________________ Under New Management |

Noah has not been good since 2014, this is a easy no. |

Cousins injury is exactly why I pegged this team as a 4-8 1st-2nd round wait-and-see this year.
Way too many question marks to win a championship in year 1. A lot of things would need to go perfectly and we're already off to a rocky start even before training camp.
I'd take a flier on Noah though. |

I wouldn't be surprised if they use the non-Kostas 2-way on a big. That gives you McGee insurance until you know what happens with Iggy and/or until you can trade guys. |

Another big guy is a must right now. Remember before Chandler?
And Kuzma at C?
AD doesn't like to play center. And McGee is not good for 80 games.
So a C or a big PF is a must.
Doesn't have to be a good player, just average to fill the backup hole if
want to win.
Who is there left? |

Neither have the other options. But he put up good numbers in 16mpg for Memphis last year. I'd take him in that role.
JAV will be the starter, and Noah can sop up 10-12mpg and AD the rest. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
