Agree on Rabb. They need to bite the bullet and buy out Iguodala.

I’m curious why they need to dump a potential trade asset for nothing. I know our FO does that, but most others don’t.

Yes because teams are lining up to offer up trades for Iguodala

I guess the year long tampering/stalking of Kawhi was enough for the league.

I’m pretty sure that the trade deadline is in February/March.

And the buyout deadline date is too.

Talk on Iggy is ramping up. I think it's happening sooner than later.

Pretty sure we're not the only team interested in Iggy.

Depends on several factors.

Iguodala is a special type of vet. Still looked at as a potential valuable player on a championship caliber team (i.e. he is not Jared Dudley). As such Iguodala does not fit into Memphis rebuilding process. They have a slew of young players that need court time and due to a roster crunch will have to cut one/two (Rabb/Cabolclo/???) if Iguodala is kept.

Memphis is looking for an asset and not to include one to move his salary so this limits the potential available trade partners. Let alone contending teams there is not one that can outright absorb his $17 mil salary which complicates any trade. Using the Lakers who do you cut/trade to acquire him? Any GM (maybe Ainge) cutthroat enough to cut a player(s) on their current roster and trade for Iguodala? If so I would believe it would have been done already.

Lastly I will assume Iguodala does not want to be on a team such as Memphis at the tail end of his career. Not that he will be a malcontent but surely dissatisfied and would leave a bad impression on future FA's.

He's ok, but he's another "guard."

He's generously listed at 6'5. Feisty defender, streaky KCP-style 3 point shooter. If only we didn't already have 8 guards on the roster.

I thought he was like a 6'7 SF for some reason.

Stupidass Morey tried to use Imam as a trade exception basically. Give him a bloated contracted so they could trade him and Nene for Iggy.

If he was 6'7 he'd be on a team with a deal right now.

He's probably 6'3/6'4 ish tall IMO.

We should take a look at Mbah a Moute if he's healthy. Big wing defender that we could use.

I think we're waiting for the Iggy domino to fall bit Luc would bet a good choice. Cant believe he's not signed yet.

It has to be injury concerns. Otherwise he's a great defender off the bench.

If we don’t get Iggy, I think we end up signing Carmelo Anthony, teams are waiting for Iggy before they decide on signing Melo.

Luc would be a great addition to balance the roster. He can play defense on SF to rest Lebron.
There are too any guards who will sit on the bench and not get minutes.
Why not balance the roster?
Seems like Pelinka goes one way he goes all the way. No looking at balance.

He guarded BI better than anyone I’ve see. Last year.

only team i can see with Melo would be Warriors or NEts. Lakers dont need him unless something happens to Davis or Kuz.

Warriors may find themselves having trouble off the bench with scoring and may look at him. Same as the Nets

Can someone tell me the issue with Johnathon Simmons?! Seriously. I’m baffled why we haven’t at least looked into this guy. I didn’t watch him much as a Magic, but I was really a fan in SA which is saying something because I hate those guys.

He was BAD last season, got dumped to Philly and is just washed. He got dumped off to Washington, the lack of interest in him by the rest of the league should be telling.

He's an older, less efficient Jordan Clarkson.
