Norvel and Kostas are our 2-way.

The ones going to be waived are Jackson & Cacok. They will clear waivers and go to South Bay. So all of them will begin with South Bay.

I wouldn't waive Cacok, he has shown enough to make it worthwhile to put some time into his development. Besides who is gonna play backup Center when either McGee or Dwight are not available? I'd sign him with the Demarcus Cousins disabled player exception for the minimum. If a better player is released later on in the season, the Lakers can always waive Troy Daniels or Dudley to make room without a real loss to the rotation anyway.

LA has a project big in Kostas and Norvell has shown some handles and driving ability to go with his shooting. If I’m the Lakers I go with that and hope Cacok clears waivers. After Dec 15, you can consolidate a couple players at the end of the bench if you need to open up a roster spot.

Kostas is realistically still at least a year away from being able to play any real rotation minutes, Cacok on the other hand clearly knows how to play already and can help with some backup minutes this season if needed due to injuries. He would be more useful to have around than Troy Daniels or Caruso. The Lakers should bite the bullet and just waive one of those two to make room for Cacok, otherwise it would be Thomas Bryant all over again. I thought they should have kept Bryant instead of Zubac too.

I don't know what it is all the commotion.

The Lakers and the Pistons are the 2 lone teams that are above the 15 roster players. The Pistons 16 player is Joe Johnson!! so they do have a problem.

Cacock will easily clear waivers.

We have right now 4 players out of the 10 man rotation in Dudley, Caruso, Daniels & THT. Our two ways plus Cackoc and Jackson will benefit most playing with South Bay. When injuries comes, they will have their time.

That's assuming that every team won't think that Cacok is better than their current 15th man. Any team could easily wave someone to make room as well, it's not like they are stuck with who they got.

Norvell is already on a two way contract and Cacock has an exhibit 10 contract.

LeBron (1), Davis (2), Green (3), KCP (4), Bradley (5), McGee (6), Cousins (7), Cook (8), Caruso (9), Dudley (10), Rondo (11), Howard (12), Daniels (13), Kuzma (14), THT (15)

Norvell (Two Way), Antetokounmpo (Two way?)

Cacock (Exhibit 10)

For Norvell or Cacock to be included on the 15 man NBA roster, a player from that group needs to to be traded or waived.

Exibit 10 contracts can't survive today's roster deadline

I know. I included the information so others would know the contract of each player.

Contract Termination/NBADL: In the event this Contract is
terminated by the Team in accordance with the NBA waiver procedure,
the Player shall be entitled to receive from the Team the Bonus Amount (if
applicable) provided above, provided that the Player (a) signs with the
NBADL prior to the deadline set by the NBADL for NBADL teams to
designate affiliate players, (b) is initially assigned by the NBADL to the
NBADL affiliate listed above (or the NBADL affiliate of any Team that
acquires the Contract, if applicable) and timely reports to such affiliate, (c)
does not leave the NBADL (e.g., by buying out his contract with the
NBADL and signing a contract with an international team) for a period of
sixty (60) days after signing with the NBADL (“60-Day Bonus Window”),
with such bonus payable (if applicable) within thirty (30) days after the 60-

Two-Way Player Conversion Option: Team shall have the option to
convert this Contract to a Two-Way Contract (“Two-Way Player
Conversion Option”); provided, however, that (a) such option must be
exercised prior to the first day of the NBA Regular Season, and (b) may
not be exercised if it would result in a violation of Article X, Section 4(d)
of the CBA. Team’s Two-Way Player Conversion Option may be
exercised by providing written notice to Player that is either personally
delivered to Player or his representative or sent by email or pre-paid
certified, registered, or overnight mail to the last known address of Player
or his representative with a copy to the Players Association and the NBA.
If Team exercises the Two-Way Player Conversion Option, this Contract’s

Bigs who can’t space aren’t in high demand. I’m not saying that Cacok won’t get picked up off waivers. But he isn’t a guy people are waiting on. In recent years LA has had Tarik Black and Jonathan Williams. On the high end you even have a player like Julius where he has lottery level talent but is on his third team because he doesn’t space. T Bryant has shown spacing ability which is why Washington swooped him up and resigned him.

Some teams are under 15, too. This is 15th man drama so the most likely outcome is that it will have no bearing on our upcoming season. There's no commotion, just interesting to see what we do.

Is it time to start talking more about the fact that Danny Ainge might actually be a (bleep) GM?

As a trade asset, it's a hugely negative contract now.

Don’t think we need to wait for it to age.

Amen. I've been saying this since last year, Ingram has enough hype and potential in most GMs eyes that he will get a large contract from some team next offseason in RFA.

Next years free agency is even worse than I anticipated because all the max free agents are off the board except Demar and the RFAs are pretty much all off the board except BI. Glad it's the Pelicans decision to decide if they need to overpay him or not.

At the very least I hope his East Coast media friends stop worshipping at his altar.
