Jaylen Brown’s four-year contract extension has $103 million in guaranteed money, per source. Another $4 million in likely incentives, plus $8 million in unlikely incentives.

Not really necessary right now, but that seems unsound given that KCP has a two year deal.

Uhh no.

Who does? 13PPG on 13.5PER that definitely puts Brown’s contract as the worst I have ever seen.

He has upside and will probably put up a much better year. He’s still young

The Lakers waived Devontae Cacok and Demetrius Jackson, bringing their roster down to the maximum 15 players plus the two allotted two-way players (Zach Norvell Jr. and Kostas Antetokounmpo).

They don't need Kawhi because they have the next Kawhi.... lolololololololol

PS... The Celtics and the Pelicans bloggers all hate Kyle Kuzma and are chirping about him being overrated. We shall see....

they are likely on a type of contract that gives them a 50k bonus if they go to our g-league team.

Lakers are placing a bet no one will claim Cacok. I think the FO may have
interest in bringing him into the fold if he reaches mid season.

History?
Batum got 5/120

Deng got 4/72 which comparatively was probably worse than Brown's 4/115 since Brown may actually play more than 57 games.

I am not saying Deng's contract was the worst contract in NBA history only that it is one of those that is worse than Brown's.

Plus as much as I hope it becomes one of the worst contracts ever since he's a Celtic.. He still hasn't even played a single game under it and is still fairly young and can improve. There's quite a few much worse contracts with all things considered.

‪61.45 between Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward. 94.15 on Jaylen Brown, Hayward, and Kemba Walker. Tatum is up for a max extension next. In excess of 128+ million for those 4 players next year. LOL

Ainge should be fired. Super overrated considering all the draft picks they have had.

Looks at Mozgov's contract we gave him extending to 2020.
Looks at Deng thread

Are you serious?

The dynamics of the NBA cap basically force teams into resigning their own players.

The Celtics really had no choice but to sign Brown to a large contract.

They are staying and playing with South Bay. That's why the Lakers sign these guys. Like the reason that they signed them the day before then waived Stockton and Hearn the next day. Just to keep them and play for South Bay.
