I like the way you think, although kid gives NY a line to Giannis. |

Then you beat them to Ujiri
I legit think Toronto (for now) is favorite for Giannis. It’s an entire nation with international ties and his marketing/sponsorships would be endless and it won’t be as loud day to day for him as NY or LA.

Only the first quarter but the Wizards are beating the Heat after knocking off the 76ers? What crazy world is this |

If the wizards had defense, they would be a top half of EC standings team. Their roster can shoot it. What the Lakers did to their offense was impressive. |

If the @nyknicks is available, I definitely want to head coach there. I will absolutely bring that street mentality to the garden. Red brick , hard nose , let’s get it popping. QB . This would be epic for all people like me. Straight from the jungles to win a title in NYC. Blaat
If I ever got the @nyknicks job , my first message would be direct to fans and media. It wouldn’t be nice. But I’m a straight shooter.Pinpoint straight. I’m not happy how you guys put pressure on every coach and star.Shut up and enjoy the game. Be supportive and let’s win a title
People can say I’m not ready. I tell them eat 50 rocks without water. I’m 40 years old. Caught in to triangle in my first year as a laker. Adjusted from averaging 22 points in playoffs with @HoustonRockets to 8points as a role player with @Lakers . This ball stuff is fun. Easy

Bucks are playing better but they've only managed to hit 3/11 field goals and 0 from 3. And a lot of these were wide open.
If the Bucks can hit their shots today they look like they'll win comfortably. Kawhi continues to look slow. PG looks okay but did I just see Matthews blow by him like he wasn't even there? |

Memphis doesn’t have 3 empty roster spots |
That's a good point (they wouldn't need 3, but they don't even have 1). Maybe we send cash to cover the buy-out of Dudley and Daniels. |
It doesn't work the way that you are suggesting.
101. When can't a player be traded? Can players be given "no-trade" clauses in their contracts?
Quote: |
A team cannot acquire players during a season when they do not have room on their 15-man roster, even if they intend to waive an incoming player immediately. For example, a team with 14 players cannot trade one player for three, while simultaneously waiving an incoming player to remain at 15 players7.

Quote: |
7 It is possible to work around this restriction by waiving a current player, executing the trade, waiving one of the incoming players, and then re-signing the original player.

Dang, so any team we trade with would either have to:
have at least two empty roster spots (does this apply to any team?)
Or
Have to waive two or more of their own players (i.e. not value them at all) to make room for two or three guys that themselves provide no value (Cook, Cousins, Dudley).
Feel like this reeeaaallly limits trade possibilities |

How the hell does the Laker front office build this team with zero SFs?
To hell with their record. Y'all can focus on that all you want. I trust my basketball wisdom, intuition, and eyes.
There were more than a handful of guys on this board clamoring for Hollis-Jefferson, Nwaba, or Sefolosha. All those guys were available FOR THE MINIMUM.
It's incompetence. I know. They're best in the West (record-wise), but when I look at this team's roster, I see many glaring holes and an overall poor roster construction.
Pelinka and friends did a bad job building this roster. They lacked vision.
I'll ask it again in a slightly different way: How can you build a team with hopes of winning it all when you zero guys on the roster who can guard a SF and your primary threat to the championship has TWO ELITE GUYS who play that SF position?
Incompetence. And for those of you who will tell me to check the record, I say you lack vision. I'm predicting the future here. Not many will agree with me now (because of a shiny record ), but this summer, after the holes are shown to the world, we'll all be in lock step.
This roster was put together badly. Where are the SFs? A damn shame. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |

I think all of our rotation guys have acquitted themselves well. Daniels and Cook were basically money/roster spots down the toilet, and they'll both soon be fully relegated to garbage time. Daniels was a minimum guy at least, but then we also signed Cook, who's basically the same player, but for twice the money. Why? Dudley doesn't play, but I don't hate it.
It would've been nice to use at least one of those spots on a young guy or reclamation projection with at least some kind of potential. I mean, isn't that one of the reasons we got Jason Kidd? Why not get someone like Mudiay or Payton? Why just two standstill shooting guards?

They could shop around for a third or even a fourth team to take a minor contract + cash. In the past, Chicago used to be something of a waste disposal site for unwanted contracts.
When an empty roster is needed, call Chicago (or similar). They waive a player on a small contract that they aren't interested in keeping. Then do the trade with the extra player + cash going to Chicago (or similar) that has the empty roster spot. Enough cash needs to be included to cover the remaining salary owed + some profit. |
