Can the Lakers sign a 15th player to a non-guaranteed deal like what Dwight signed last year?
If so, Rob should offer that kind of contract to Dedmon or Ante Zizic. |

Gasol-Trez-Kieff
AD-Kuz-Dudley
Bron-THT-McKinnie
KCP-Wesley
Dennis-Caruso-Quinn
Once we get into the late stages of the season, you probably see us look at a FA like we brought in Kieff last year. No way we sign anyone until after the trade deadline post buy out period. You usually get a few players in that time that can provide some minutes in a playoff setting ... like we got Kieff last year. |

Exactly. I don’t see any FA pickup until post buyout unless too good to pass up.
Once players are bought out, there will be some serviceable rim protecting big available. It is funny though how the Lakers saved the true center position by winning with those guys even if they didn’t play that much in the playoffs. |

We have too many guards who need minutes.
I would look for a 7 footer and/or a wing like Ariza (if he's bought out, though we would have a minutes crunch with Kuz so maybe we wouldn't go in that direction). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

AD is everything Giannis is not, and visa versa. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Not trading Kieff. He signed the vet min just to play for us. |

I say yes after I say no. Yes, you (Milwaukee) can hang up the phone now. No, that won't happen.
I saw one poster say yes. Fine, but there's a reason LeBron was fawning over AD, not GA. |

True. Unless we're going with the "unguaranteed contract until something better comes along and then we'll waive you" method, it's better to wait and sign the right guy that plays the position of greatest need closer to the playoffs. |

Why are people so obsessed with Javale? He got some spectacular blocks, but that was because he was terrible at positional defense and often had to rely on his athleticism to save himself from his own poor defense. Getting a couple of leaping blocks a game is pretty, but it ignores the other half dozen times he gave up penetration or a basket because he wasn’t where he was supposed to be. McGee was fine for what he was and was a great chemistry guy, but here’s a reason he basically didn’t play when the games actually counted. |

I wouldn't mind having him as 3rd center on a minimum deal, but yeah, he's unplayable in real games that matter. Plus we can't trade back for him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I don't think there is a single player we can trade AD for that would make this team better this year. Maybe KD (For sure if he didn't come back from injury). |

No way. Makes no sense. AD fits way better with Lebron because AD doesn’t need the ball in his hands. Giannis isn’t an off ball guy at all, and his game would conflict with Lebron’s. The real question is if you’d trade Lebron for Giannis. I wouldn’t at all, but at least there would be an argument there since Giannis and AD would both be guys in their physical primes over the next five years. There’s really no argument for Giannis over AD for the Lakers right now. |

We don't win last year if we had Giannis instead of AD
Once AD learns to pass out of double teams (which he's practicing) he'll be even more of a beast |

Javale "barely played in the playoffs" McGee
The most valuable part of Javale's skillset was bringing people together kinda like Duds. But why worry about someone who will be played of the court when it matters? |

28/17/5 in 29 minutes. Legs looking healthy.
Marc is only getting 19 minutes a game.
If you had to do it again would you have Cousins playing those 18-19 minutes over Marc? |
