Give them BI, Zo and #4, and complete the trade after July 6.

Assuming we strike out on Kyrie, we’d be better served by spreading the love...

All of these numbers are attainable, within a million or so:
Patrick Beverley (3yrs, $25m)
Seth Curry (3yrs, 20m)
Marcus Morris (3yrs, $33m)
Robin Lopez (2yrs, $10m)
Trevor Ariza (room exception)

Patrick Beverley...Alex Caruso
Josh Hart...Seth Curry
LeBron James...Trevor Ariza
Marcus Morris...Kyle Kuzma
Anthony Davis...Robin Lopez

I think it does.

With the news of KD injury, i believe it does too.

lets say KD leaves the warriors and they sign Brook Lopez and Danny Green... or seth Curry and Deadmon?
we forget losing KD gives them more money to improve their depth.

they also have #28 pick which (Kyle Kuzma) was drafted at. The warriors are better if KD leaves.

LOL you don’t understand the salary cap at all.... just stop.

show me GS payroll for next year if KD is not there. Because I calculated and its under the cap. If they sign free agents first, they can go over the cap to resign Klay

No it does not. They are well over the cap. They can’t use the money he was making, it does not work that way. Stop repeating that.

how are they over the cap?

their salaries for next year are 79 mil. Curry =$40, Dray =$18, Iggy=$17 and like 3 min contracts.

Durant Opts out. They have a team option with Livingstons $7 mil.

Forgetting about Klay? then you have 5 cap holds and Livingston has a partially guaranteed contract ($2m).

AD makes up for a lot of mistakes. that's also why i'd try to keep Zo.

Seems so obvious.
Something must be up.
Maybe they like Zo? Lavar, wake up!

Or maybe he's not offered?

https://old.reddit.com/r/lakers/comments/bzuob2/lakers_and_pelicans_trade_facing_a_roadblock/

" As of 10pm yesterday, Lakers and pelicans have agreed on majority of the trade. What I was told is that Lakers have official told pelicans what they are putting on the table, and the pelicans have agreed to it

The problem has been the third team, during the initial stages it was between Chicago and Phoenix. However both teams have fallen off, two new emerging team have came out, the wizards and the hawks.

There is a high sense of optimism that the trade will get done. "

Klay can resign after they sign free agents using Durants money and go over the cap to sign him.

that is not how it works....Klay's cap hold of over $28 Million must stay on the books...if they renounce it, then they can't go over the cap to sign him

Give Morris money to Danny Green and then give Jeff Green the min to be stretch 4. Also try to convince Taj to take the minimum for one year as backup PF. That roster wins the ring next year.

Davis | Lopez | Wagner
Kuzma | Taj | Green
LeBron | Ariza
Green | Hart
Beverly | Curry

I agree. They aren't finalizing out of respect for the NBA Finals.

That doesn't sound fun. I think the KCP is what tips it.

Kuzma - $1,974,360
Hart - $1,934,160

It looks good by the numbers and it just depends on what package New Orleans will accept.

Bard can the Lakers buy a 2nd Rd pick, give him 1st Rd pay and send it across to pelicans?

If they are going to sign a 30% max, then there won't be cap space available to sign a second round pick above the minimum salary.

The room exception can be split among several players, but it isn't going to be much money and doing that compromises filling out the rest of the LA .

I don't understand the logic about waiting until the Finals are over to announce the trade. With the trade looming, we are all frantically checking for news. If it were announced as official, the allure of checking for trade news would go down imo. Either way, are people suddenly going to forgo watching these Finals, which have been completely unpredictable thus far, to look at an existing/pending trade announcement?

This is actually good in my view. He's a rotation guy at worst, and we can use his salary in a trade since he'll be an expiring.

He's 100% coming back. No way he gets a better offer than 1year/10mill.

If the trade was announced, it would dominate conversation and overshadow the games (right or wrong). The problem is this trade won't happen officially until after July 1 for cap reasons, so this theory would mean Silver telling Woj, Shams, etc. not to report it. I find that hard to believe. If they get word it's been agreed to, they're not holding that..
