He's also a Rich Paul client, so this is the Kutch Lakers corporation.

He made12 mil . He’s not taking room imo

Morris twins might want to play together again. Maybe win a championship together

Options to fill out the roster.

1. Sign a max player. Ideally we steal Kawhi, but Lakers likely to target Kyrie, Kemba, Butler as well.

2. Sign a 2nd tier free agent to a deal ranging from $20m $27.5m. Goal here is to sign a player to a $5m deal (similar to MLE) and keep Bullock’s cap hold. Target players like Middleton, Tobias or Dlo (if he gives us a chance).

3. Split the cap space to 3 strong role players and keep Bullock’s cap hold. Target players like KCP, Lopez brothers, Danny green, randle, mirotic, Ross, Rubio, Marcus Morris, Kanter, Ellington. This option can also lead to future potential trades if they are value contracts.

I really, truly in my heart think that we're getting Kawhi. Too many tea leaves out there today.

I think there is a >0% chance he would stay for the Minimum because that would give the Lakers his Full Bird Rights the next season....so if for some reason he believed the Lakers would make it up to him the next year....then maybe.

i can’t imagine not getting a another max player.
the rest of it will be filled out with the MLE and merry minimums.
good luck LeBron and Joey Jesse and Ryan for those talented undrafted finds.

Also getting Okafor or C.Wood in the trade would have been nice. Especially with all the picks going out. Good young bench parts.

Besides the already locked in players, I'm looking at adding the following as priorities...

Plan A - KL

Plan B - Kemba or Kyrie

Plan C - Jimmy Buckets

Plan D - Brogdon (RFA) for $20 mill plus a trade kicker, split the rest with BLopez and Danny Green

-----

As an aside, I'm one of the few here that REALLY likes Mike Muscala and hopes he comes back some how. The most under rated Laker last year once he got healthy. Bullock's defense was horrific though, and he's the most over rated Laker whose name is bounced around for a re-signing.

I was just thinking, one huge factor in Kawhi picking the Lakers now will be that with Bron & Tony on the team, the Lakers can afford to easily give Kawhi (and Tony, heck... and Lebron) more random days off and rest. This is a really big deciding factor I think and a huge advantage that we have over the clippers. If he joins the clips he's going to have to play way more minutes.

With 3 monsters we can afford some incredibly valuable rest time until play off time starts.

Absolute best case scenario but within realms of possibility?

C - Davis/McGee (vet min) /Muscala (min)
F - Kuzma/Wagner
F - Lebron/Ariza (vet min)/Bonga
G- Kawhi/ Wesley Matthews (vet min)
G - George Hill (room exception)/ Rondo (vet min)/ Caruso

I was thinking Kenrich Williams...but similar thoughts. This is what GT was talking about on his last podcast....it is not the big parts that make a great GM, but a lot of it is what you do in the margins...the min guy here or the undrafted guy there....squeezing a little more out of a trade that may not seem like a lot on the surface, but will pay dividends in a Game 5 on the road.

Someone brought up DLO who we could probably get for $20 to $25 million if the Nets end up getting Kyrie. Leaves enough room for Bullock and another perimeter player (Ariza/Wesley?). Room exception on a center (McGee?)

McGee, Davis, Wagner
Davis, Kuzma, LBJ
LBJ, Bullock
Wesley, Bullock
DLO, Caruso

He got paid 9 mill last season presumably so that he'd be more inclined to take vet min this season?
