Good job Kings. Doing decent without the Fox.

You're looking smart in regards to the Jazz. I think Rudy missed some time as well. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I'm also somewhat surprised and somewhat not surprised about OKC playing better now. Still under .500, but in the playoff race at the bottom. They better be hoping CP3 doesn't go down with his regularly scheduled injury. |

True. I thought Conley was on decline too but thought Bogdanovic shooting would open up things. The struggles of Ingles is killing them so teams get to focus on Mitchell and to a lesser extent Bogdanovic.
Rubio couldn’t shoot, but Conley decline seems to be worse.
Sac is not one of the cupcake teams imo. They will make the playoffs and be a pain in the ass. They got too many pieces.

Heh. So far I suppose
But remember how the Jazz had a great 2nd half of the season (was it last year or the year before)? We'll see how it goes. But they're definitely not the #2 team in the West that some had them pegged to be at the start of the season. |

How does this team do with LeBron and Kyrie? I could see WCF but that’s about it, this current team gives us a swag because so many guys bring different set of skills and experience. |
The current team or the one with all the guys that went out for AD? It's a completely different team. |
Good point, so basically it will be LeBron and Irving + the kids, but I could see Pelinka trading Ball while keeping BI in that scenario. |
Imagine going after Kyrie w/o AD, and having him sit due to injury.
What a waste that would have been. |
Got a few Nets fans friends and none of them believe it's a real injury. And they all want him to keep sitting. |
Cuz they don't like him? Or cuz the team is winning? |
Both. |

Really interested to see what the teams struggling in the West do.
Portland is paying the luxury tax and with all their injuries, I don't see them making the playoffs. Wonder if they trade McCollum.
Spurs are at they end the road with Demar and LA, I could see them making a youth movement.
Utah needs to make a move to get their mojo back.

Recently the Western conference has good records all the way down to 8th place and beyond, and any team after about 5th place in the East have losing records
This year, 7th place in the East are 13-10 (Nets) whereas 7th place in the West is 11-12 (Thunder) |

Utah's schedule is about to get a lot softer. I wouldn't rule them out just yet. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

It’s a dumpster fire after the top tier. |
Hasn't been too big a problem so far, obviously. But i think it will come playoffs. Will the FO recognize this? Or do they, but just lack the assets/contracts to remedy it? |

Or does it become less of a problem when Lebron and AD are playing near 40 mpg? |

Hard to say. Teams will have the benefit of having time to prepare and scheme against us. I can't predict what they'll do. Luckily, the teams I'm most concerned about are in the East Conference (Milwaukee and Toronto) though i'm probably one of the few people who still thinks the Clippers could be dangerous in the playoffs--something i could be proven wrong about if Kawhi isn't healthy. People are writing him off because his shooting efficiency is down, but his playmaking took a HUGE leap. Defensively, it might not matter if he's not what he was if PG can take that role and he can take a Lebron-type role as free safety. Anyway, a third playmaker could be the difference between advancing past certain teams and not. |

The Clippers are obviously a dangerous opponent for anyone. Saying otherwise is just kidding ourselves. I hate them with every fiber of my being, but we have to be realistic. Their offensive firepower is insane. |

We definitely saw insane offensive firepower during the Bucks/Clippers match.
Don't believe it was from the Clippers though |

You can't overrate one game. Obviously, the Bucks are a problem for anyone too. Just like we are for anyone. Anytime you have four 19 PPG scorers and the makings of a good perimeter defense in the playoffs, you're going to be a problem in a best-of-7 series. |

A bunch of isolation scorers with no playmaker isn't a team to be feared offense wise. Our offense is rated higher, so is the Bucks, so is the Mavericks. The Clippers were supposed to have a fearsome defense with a decent offense but so far their defense has been pretty overrated also.
The Clippers need a playmaker to unlock their offense or they're not winning anything this year. They probably won't even get out of the West. |

I hate them more than anyone, but I think you are underestimating them. The Clippers are not going to value the regular season nearly as much as we are. I think that's pretty clear. Of course they will have some weaknesses, but so do we, and so do all teams. They are by far the biggest threat to us in the West, wherever they end up in the seedings. |

The Clippers don't have a playmaker? Their defense isn't good?
We're like a hair above them in defensive rating: https://i.ibb.co/fS7m8b9/Screen-Shot-2019-12-10-at-12-09-22-AM.png
and that rating doesn't know PG has been out half the season. |

Their offense has been better with PG back has it? I guess that's why when they played the Bucks without PG they lost by only a few.
And no they don't have a playmaker, which is why after the Bucks game the Clipper subreddit contained many crying "we need a (bleep) playmaker"
And I never said their defense wasn't good, I said it's overrated. Which it is. |
